......A New Countdown :Pinkbounc

I very sadly had to cancel my forthcoming Holiday and Cruise In August, due to Vicki's GCSE Exam results being due the same time and the very important choices that she will have to make about college at the time we would have been away. :sad2:

When I booked this holiday 18 months ago, I did'nt even consider that this might happen. After taking advice from the school and college and really wanting to give Vicki the best start possible, we have had to move it. I am very very dissapointed that we wont be spending some wonderful time on the cruise with Karen and her family and all the other people that I had come to know and have met over on the cruise boards.

However we have decided to go to WDW in October at half term and with the blessing of the college Vicki can take a few extra days off. :cheer2:

So I hope all of you who have been in October before will help me out when I post any questions on the TP Board about planning my new holiday.

I am really looking forward to meeting up with Kaylee and Alan and BabyUK when we are there :cheer2:

I hear October is a lovely time to go.

Roll on October :wizard: :rotfl:

That's fantastic news Sue ~ October is a lovely time to be in WDW.

October is a wonderful time to be in WDW!

I hope you have a fantastic time and can look forward to this trip without any worries about Viski's college plans :)

Sue I'm sure this is the right thing to do and now you have a different time of year to plan your WDW trip :goodvibes
Since our first trip is likely to be October the following year I'll know doubt be interested in all the ideas that come your way :)

Very sensible of you Sue, and as everyone says October seems a wonderful time of year to go. Happy planning :)

We will be there in October at SSR. Where will you be staying?

Our 11 months window opens on Monday!!

We love going in October and I am sure you will always want to go at that time once you have tried it.

Susan

We're going in Oct but deliberately missed half term!

Going at the same time as my first trip which was fantastic :teeth:

Have fun with your new plans :goodvibes

There's nothing I can say that I haven't already said :( :(

Hey - more time to plan (and save for shopping!) :sunny:

At least GCSEs will be a distant memory for you both by then

Sue, FWIW I think you made the right decision. The choice Vicky makes will, hopefully, set her up for life so I think it's great that you have put her first. And, hey, you still get to go to Disney World so it can't be all bad :teeth:

We are going in October, too, in case you didn't know already but, by the look of your countdown, we'll probably have left to come home by the time you get there - which is a shame, as I know how much you like your DIS meets ;) No doubt there will be more DISers there when you are though - you always seem to manage to meet up with some while you're there :)

Sue you have made the right choice. We will be there for October half term so we might see you there :)

Thanks Guys

I appricate all your feedback, I really do :grouphug:

Just to try and answer a few of your Questions, Accomodation not completly confirmed as yet, but as soon as I know I will let you know, we are flying from Manchester on the 28th October with My Travel at 1pm. No flights that time of year from Cardiff, but I have saved over £500 in changing my flights so thats more money for spending. :cheer2:

Half term here is the 30th October, but I know in other areas of the country it is the week before, this is quite late for half term here, but hopefully we will still be able to see MNSSHP which we have never done before and as Vicki will be 16, we are hoping to do some of the Tours in the Magic Kingdom and she also wants to have a go at the Segway Tour, whats the odds on me falling off, quite high I would imagine :rotfl:

I really hope that I will be able to meet up with some of you who are over there the same time as us, that would be lovely.

Sue
