I have to vent...

I need to score some Disney store dresses to sell on ebay so I can buy my dd an Elsa prom dress from Etsy. Would that be acceptable? :lmao:

For anyone looking check Etsy. There are probably many sellers who will make a dress to order at reasonable prices. :thumbsup2

It stinks but I'm on the Ebayers side. There is nothing wrong with capitalizing on a mania in an attempt to support yourself and your family. :confused3

I do hope people realize it does take time for things to be made. It's not like we all can have our fairy godmother wave a wand and have a dress in an instant.

Well, the economics major in me thinks this is thread is ridiculous for many reasons, but yes, it's disappointing we can't all have what we want when we want it at the price we prefer...but you know, supply and demand makes the world go 'round...

Anyway, at Target they are selling Anna and Elsa kits that have the dolls along with a matching dress for children who are roughly a size 3-4T...they were $35 for the doll and dress and that wasn't unreasonable, IMO.

:rotfl2:
I totally HATE my kids, then. My SON (LOL) wants the Infinity Anna/Elsa pack, and it's sold out everywhere except Amazon, where it was about $20 more than it should be. I'm not buying it!

Target has Anna on single card and Elsa will be out soon. Just wait.

But if you are into Infinity Phineus and Perry can be pre=ordered at Gamestop who gets them a month early.

I am going to agree with the OP Scalpernay sucks. I used to collect action figures and people who buy $10 toys and resell them for $40 are not making a few bucks but putting sand in the vaseline if you don't mind me saying.

I should not have to wake up at the crack of dawn and stalk the Disney store for an awaiting arrival! I should not have to pay these OUTRAGEOUS prices these Ebay people are asking.

!

Here's the reality.

You do NOT have to "wake up at the crack of dawn and stalk the Disney store for an awaiting arrival."

You do NOT have to "pay these OUTRAGEOUS prices these Ebay people are asking. "

All you have to do is say "Sorry, honey, but the Frozen stuff is way too expensive. I'll keep an eye on the prices and reconsider in a few months if the prices come down."

Your kids can still love the movie without dressing up as the characters. (I'm a huge Gone with the Wind fan, and the only person I've ever seen dressed up as Scarlett was Carol Burnett!) In fact, isn't the movie on sale one of these days??

Your kids will get a valuable lesson on needs vs. wants, and your blood pressure will thank you.

I wanted the pretty green Anna dress or an Elsa dress for my DD for our trip at the end of April. I was able to find in the store the "winter" Anna dress. It looked much more cheaply made than any of the other Disney Store princess dresses that we have (and we have A LOT with 3 girls!), but she wanted it so I bought it anyway.

While I was there, I asked about the green Anna dress since it was on the DS website not long before and it was going for a ton on ebay. Apparently, there was a problem with the green fabric that they used for the skirt. It runs terribly. One ebayer did have that language in her listing that she got a message from the DS about the dress, but yet she was still selling multiples of it for about $140! So steer clear of that dress!!! The DS employee I spoke to said that they didn't know when they would be getting those dresses again since they are working out the issues. I don't know if there was a similar issue with the blue Elsa dress.

I can't figure out why there are none in stock anywhere, apparently.

It's very hard to keep items in stock when there is THIS much demand for them. Like the hot hot hot Christmas toy of the year, where as soon as they put them on the shelves they have 8 parents fighting over each one. They won't all get one.

It looks like ( from pictures ) disneyworld has a elsa dress again. But it looks different then there last one in the store and the world one. I wonder why the change( not that it matter, just wonder). I found a elsa dress from jcpenny and it look great! So close to the one from the disney store. I bought the anna dress ( green one) on eBay months back that was from disney world. Does that dress have problems or just the one from the disney store?
