I 100% agree with you Pete. The camera angles are a bit annoying to deal with but overall I LOVE THIS GAME!!!!!!!!!! I'm not a big fan of the game where you have to beat things because it often times makes me want to throw the remote at the TV and scream insanely but Epic Mickey I can handle.

Great review by the way Pete! You convinced me to buy it and I absolutely love it and its cuteness!! :thumbsup2

Santa brought me the game too! I'm off to try it now! :) Any pointers?

I kept getting the paint and the thinner mixed up - the blue is the paint and the green is the thinner. Also - you have to be careful because i've failed a couple of quests and I heard that if you fail some quests it will change the events in the game and how you are perceived as a player. The camera views certainly did not help with this >_>

All in all - enjoy the graphic and the fun game!!

Well, I just got done playing for an hour. I have to think a major Disney fan created this game. The fact that the old time Disney cartoons are referenced, Oswald is present, and things like E-Tickets pop up is amazing.

So far, the camera angles haven't bothered me too much. There was one point where I got stuck by a boulder because of this issue. Other than that, I didn't have any problems.

The only disappointing feature for me thus far is the coloration of the game. I realize that Wasteland is supposed to be this dark world, but I can only imagine how beautiful things could be if the coloring was different. We get a slight glimpse of that during the "Mickey & the Beanstalk" scene. Does this change at some point later on in the game?

My DH and DD9 are monopolizing the game here! I'm hoping for a chance later today.

They figured out that if you click "1" on your remote you look at things through Mickey's eyes. If you click it again, it goes back to the other view.

DH is in It's a Small World. There are some nice splashes of color.

Has anyone seen the special nun-chuck for the game? Looks really cool.

I warned my son about opening the collectors box, and no broken Mickey ear. :)

I have the paintbrush nunchuk. It is pretty cool! I just need to start holding it in my right hand so it makes more sense with the game.

If you use the little "C" button on the nunchuck it will turn the camera to wherever Mickey is pointed. This works most of the time unless Mickey is too close to a wall and then use the "1" button on the remote.

I'm visiting the Mad Doctor right now and this is probably the hardest level yet.

The game is not in my home... yet.

Is it a game you think you will enjoying playing two years from now, or will you get most of the enjoyment in the first few weeks/months?

Got my Epic Mickey today. I think I need to be a little more awake to try it. Unfortunately the paintbrush nunchuk is still on back order. Does the regular one work ok? Not sure when it will arrive. With my current work schedule, I might not have the time to give it the right attention for about a week.

I think I will still be trying to figure it out years from now, lol. I am just not that cordinated to do both the remote and the nunchuck. I am old school. I spent an hour playing it yesterday and am not very far but I think I will slowly get the hang of it. Funny it was a present for my 10 year old daughter but I think I end up playing it more. I do think it is cool.

I must be one of the few who is awful at this game. I have horrible hand eye coordination and having to use both hands at once is driving me a little batty.

I just made it to the gremlins, I haven't failed any quests, but I have only completed one. I have to say I am just confused.

I still haven't figured out how to save and exit the game.

No wonder I really like toy story mania. LOL

Did I mention my hubby can't even watch me play, as it is that painful.:rotfl:

Oh, yeah, I don't play it - I watch DH play and DD reads the game guide to him. It's much more fun for me to be a video game spectator popcorn:: than player.

De-lurking to add: DH got this for me for Xmas. I am not a big time gamer, but he is. He told me to take a break from it today because I keep yelling for him to come help me - even with the game guide. I've only made it past the boats that are like small world. The bridges are driving me crazy and Mickey has suffered some horrible deaths.

Santa brought it to my house and I'm enjoying it thus far, although I have not had much time to play yet. I'm currently "fighting" one of the steam pipes....there is just one I can't seem to get paint on, I got the others fixed, but just can't seem to hit the right spot on another one. I really like the fact that you are collecting e-tickets....but that coolness seemed to be lost on everyone else in the house.

:lmao: So understand this :rotfl2:

I spent an hour going through the same wall and my husband couldn't understand why I would go left everytime, when He knew it was a dead end, so how did I not get it. LOL

I was getting so frustrated falling into the paint thinner all the time. I knew where I was suppose to go but just couldn't get there.

The regular nunchuck works just fine, the paint brush one is just for looks and adds a coolness factor for the user.

I think this is a game that I will continue to enjoy to play because there are so many missions, I don't think that you can get all of the movie clips, sketches, etc. the first time through if you aren't using a guide. Plus depending on how you play (if you use the thinner or the paint to defeat some of the bad guys) you might play it four times and get four different endings.

These two posts had me chuckling because they sound so much like me. I have not made it out of the steam pipe area yet because I can't figure out how to defeat it. I have the guide and plan on cracking it open today.

By the way...

:welcome: :disrocks:

I hope to see more of you two here!! :thumbsup2

I agree 100%. I am loving this game! :thumbsup2

I got the game and nunchuck for my niece for Christmas, she played it yesterday while I watched. We both thought it was very cool. I explained to her some things I read here. Depending on her choices, Mickey could be good or bad, she wanted Mickey to be good. We didn't get very far because of other games they wanted to try out, but she is going to bring over the Wii for New Years to play again. Watching her play made me really tempted to get a Wii just for Epic Mickey.

On a side note, I also got them Kirby's Epic Yarn. VERY COOL game, the graphics and creativity of it are amazing. It was really the big hit of all the games. Not anywhere near as complex at Epic Mickey, but really, really fun to play and watch.
