OK so I'm going to Disneyworld in May and I need an ADR for dinner! But I'm picky and need help choosing one since I haven't been to many restaurants there and I don't want to make a bad choice. It will only be for 2 people. :confused3

So far I have:
Breakfast - Chef Mickey's
Lunch - Whispering Canyon Cafe
Dinner - ???

ALRIGHT, so here is what I'm looking for in the restaurant:

*menu not primarily seafood *YUCK*
*not fancy (it just isn't my type of thing!)
*We don't care for exotic types of food
*buffet or sit-down doesn't matter!
*not too expensive...
*We're simple when it comes to menu items :thumbsup2

SUGGESTIONS!

My first choice would be Le Celler in Epcot. That was the best meal my family had when we were in WDW in May. They have wonderful steaks. If that is too expensive for you why don't you try 50's Prime time Cafe in MGM. It was less expensive and the food is not fancy at all but very good (in my opinion). You may get a waitress who will play along with you and make you eat all your veggies or you may get a waitress who will let you enjoy your meal and leave you alone.

I am looking forward to hearing what other people suggest and what you choose.

Have fun,

Loralie

If that ADR is for the same day as the other two it looks like you are staying on the MK side of Disney World ... assuming that ...
then my suggestions are:
Ohana's
or
Liberty Tree Tavern

but if you are up to going elsewhere ...
Boatwright's is nice if you want to see POR ... and there's always The Land's Garden Grill which isn't too expensive. Teppanyaki is a favorite ... but it's more expensive. I like Le Cellier too.

Good luck!!
:-)

If you're staying at POR, I will suggest going to Boatrights. It's traditional American fare, good food and on site. Both food courts at POR and POFQ have pretty good food and decent prices (also plenty of seating). pooh:

We are also "simple" eaters, nothing too fancy just good. We really loved LeCellier and Beaches & Cream. Both have much different atmospheres but the food is really good

Where are you going to be that evening???

If you're in the Magic Kingdom, go to the Liberty Tree Tavern. Regular, American food -- Thanksgiving-type. You do sit down and get a server, but you don't select off a menu. They just bring (all you can eat) Turkey, stuffing, etc. to your table. The restaurant is set up like a colonial place, and the characters dress in that style. Very pretty, but not fancy-schmancy. It isn't too expensive, and is a pretty relaxing meal.

Avoid Tony's like the plague. It isn't much good and is seriously, waaay overpriced.

LeCellier is great if you want really good steak. How about Crystal Palace? Pooh and friends are there and it's a buffet style with tons of options. Character interaction is very good and my staff for the most part is very friendly.

If you're staying in the MK area all day, I would second Ohana and Liberty Tree Tavern w/ Liberty Tree Tavern being my favorite.

You don't have a dinner scheduled in the MK (Chef Mickey's is at the CR, & WCC is at the WL), so a dinner in the park might be nice - then you could stay for the parade & Wishes.

However, at Ohana you could get table near a window w/ a view of the castle, and, if you made your ADR late enough, you could watch Wishes from your table.

The food at LTT might be a little more to your liking than that at Ohana.

Or, you could the Cinderella & Prince Charming Character Dinner at 1900 Park Fare in the Grand Floridian...

So many wonderful choices!

LTT has good food and it really suited my simple tastes. I liked the food there much better than CP. We also enjoyed Planet Hollywood. There menu has a great variety to suit everyone.
