I have this old Mickey Mouse Bicycle

and I have searched and searched on the internet to find out what is it worth and I can not find A THING about a Mickey Mouse bicycle! I have looked under Disney Bike/Bicycle, Character Bicycle, etc etc etc,
I am known as the Queen of the Internet in my family and this is driving me nuts. Can anyone give me a clue where I can find out about this bike?

Patti54- Is there a manufacturers badge on the front of the fork, just below the handlebars?

Could you email me a larger, more detailed scan?

Yes but it is written in Japanese or Chinese

Oh, then I think it has a picture of mickey on the name badge with Walt Disney Productions just below the face. That means it was produced before 1987. From the looks of the bike, I'd guess late 70's to mid 80's.

I've seen very few bikes with the exception of the ultra rare Donald Duck model. However, because it is relatively recent, and from a "no-name" manufacturer, it is more of a toy than a true collectible.

However the right Mickey Mouse collector may be willing to pay a hundred or so. Don't expect the thousands of dollars that the Donald Duck model will bring in excellent condition though...

Sorry I could not be of more help with a dollar value.

The auction ends in the next hour so it might be interesting to see how it goes. (I sold a Lienenkugel's clock today for almost $400 so I am hopeful that this one soars at the end too)

We kind of thought it might be from the 70's so I think you are right.

Oh well, it can go back up in the rafters for another 30 years and we can try again.

I saw the auction pics and I am still of no help. Does it say Walt Disney Productions below the mickey face on the badge? Can't really tell on the scan.

I am not familiar at all with the Lienenkugel company so I can't even say if that was a good price or not. There are zillions of foreign licensees, too many for me to keep up with.

Good Luck in the auction! Hope I am wrong about the value... Now I'll have to stay up late to see what happens!
