Well, my induction is scheduled for Thurs of next week, if the baby doesn't decide he wants to arrive before then. Yesterday was my last official day at work and so now I'm officially on maternity leave. I have the next four days to do...NOTHING!:teeth:
We don't have any spare $$$ at the moment, so going to a movie or even the video store is out of the question for now. I did go to the library and stocked up on books to read. I just finished John Stossel's "Give Me a Break!" (which I had started on Tues) and am attempting to simeltaneously (sp? )read Fannie Flagg's "Welcome to the World, Baby Girl!" and Danielle Steele's "Zoya". Cleaned up the kitchen and the living room and there's not hing good on TV (since all we have is an antenna, no cable/dish). DH keeps calling like once or twice an hour to see if I've had any contractions today (which I haven't).

The only thing I have left to do now is wait...and try to figure out how to upload my pics of the Pooh-palooza nursery to Imagestation.com.

Get all of the sleep that you possibly can. Cook some food that you can freeze. Stock up at the grocery store.

Congratulations! Your baby will be here before you know it.

Another vote for sleep! However in the days leading up to all my babies's births I cleaned. I remember being in the tub on my knees scrubbing like a fiend on the grout. I don't think I ever did that before or after that day.

Enjoy your last days of just being a couple........:D

Enjoy doing nothing now while you can.::yes::

Pembo--LOL..I was doing that earlier..scrubbing the baseboards in the entryway, something I haven't done in..well...I don't think I've ever done it before! :p

Laundry is in now and I'm waiting for that to finish so I can finish making up the bed (my favorite sheets are in the dryer).

MIL called this morning wanting to know if there was any news, which there hasn't been. She wants me and DH to come visit her tomorrow afternoon after he gets off work because she wants me to go walking. For 3 hrs, is what DH said. Apparently, according to her, I need to have this baby BEFORE April 1. She's afraid her precious grandson will get teased at school because his birthday (if I get induced on that day and he's born before midnight, which might or might not happen) is on April Fools' Day. Personally, I think my son will be a little stronger than that and won't mind having his birthday on that date. First she told me I need to have the baby before April 6, which is when her dad passed away, because she didn't want to two things to be associated in her mind. Now this. If I didn't love her so much, I'd want to strangle her. I think she's just going a bit nutz because she wants this baby here as badly as I do. :teeth:

Had to smile about your MIL's April 1 b-day concerns. I had my second dd at about 2:00 a.m on April 2nd. I was telling her the other day that I worked really had to make sure she didn't come on April Fool's Day. She said "why Mom, that would have been so fun!" LOL

She might have felt differently when she was little, she's 12 now. But babies come when they want to come & after that beautiful little one is here, that is all that will matter.

I was born on April 2. My Mom said the doctor told her to hold on until after 12:00 so that I would be born on the 2nd. I love having a Springtime birthday.

Apparently, my MIL can't wait till tomorrow. DH called a little while ago and said not to make anything for dinner because MIL had invited us over. She's 'bribing' me with dinner so that she can take me out and make me go walking after dinner.:p Me..I don't care too much. At least I don't have to make dinner tonight!:teeth:

My first baby was due on April 1 and was born on April 14. In my case, walking, drinking cranberry juice or making wild passionate love did not bring about labor. :p I was so hugely huge by the time April 1 came around, I did not care one iota if his birthday was April Fools Day, I just wanted to give birth to the enormous jumping basketball that was in my tummy! :p

Best of luck to you TOV! I can't believe its been 9 months already. :) James is a cute name, will you stick to James rather than Jim or Jimmy? I always liked the full name of James. :)

Enjoy your 4 days with absolutely nothing to do. You won't see 4 days like that again for a very, very long time :)

Enjoy the peace and quiet while you can. Get some rest and do any of the last minute things that need to be done. Maybe you could check out some movies at the library. Our library has a pretty decent selection. Keep us posted!

Well lucky for me it ended up raining and getting chilly last night so we didnt' go walking. Phew! But MIL insisted that if today was nicer (which it's turning out to be...darn! :teeth: ) DH make me go walking when he arrives home this afternoon.

will you stick to James rather than Jim or Jimmy?

Actually, right now I just call him Squirt! :p DH hates Jim/Jimmy so I doubt we'll use either of those unless James decides he wants to be called that.

I'll post piccies when I get a chance. I know we're taking our digicam and the ILs are probably gonna take theirs, too. :)

I think that may be "nesting" and should be a good sign!

I don't think this house can get any cleaner, tbh. :p I have been 'nesting' big time the last couple of weeks, even though when DH says "Stop NESTING! It's driving me crazy!" I deny that I'm doing it. :D
