I came home from grocery shopping last night, which is like a 3 hour event, twice a month. And there was a picture on the fridge of a dolphin....and it was a thank you note for all that I do for the family..and then there was a number. Underneath it it said "make sure to give this number to the people at Discovery Cove on Sunday". He made me a reservation for a non-dolphin swim...for me only. No kids for a whole day...and hopefully nothing but sunshine. I can't wait!

I agree that sounds nice, but why would you want to go all alone? I mean I understand without the kids, but I wouldn't want to go ALONE. :(

Also, why would you want to be away from DH on Father's Day??

What a nice guy! But I’m confused -- what is a non-dolphin swim?

A non dolphin swim is when you go to Discovery Cove and not do a dolphin swim. You have the option of just snorkeling, relaxing, swimming, bird aviary, lazy river, lunching, sting ray lagoon, and all that.

Really the dolphin swim is only at most an hour out of your 8-9 hour day at Discovery Cove. (assuming that you stay open to close)

You will love it! It is one of my most favorite memories of the trip my husband and I took.

Not that I can't figure it out, but what does DH stand for, officially-like? :D

It stands for Disney Husband. Just a little something cute we like to do here on the DIS!;)

ps- you will also see DW-Disney wife
dd-disney daughter
ds-disney son
etc!

Thanks Cindy – now I get it. I’ve done the dolphin swim, and while I adored it, I also really enjoyed hanging out there the rest of the day. I especially loved swimming with the sting rays.

Miss Behaved, DH stands for Dear Husband, which seems to be an appropriate term for gshoemate’s mate!

I'm a stay at home mom so being away from the kids is like a day off. And we didn't do anything for Mother's day because my MIL was here so he is kind of making up for that. We are doing something for fathers day on Saturday.

I'm looking forward to it. We did the dolphin swim when Discovery Cove first opened, it was nice but I wasn't to impressed. Don't get me wrong, it was great swimming with a dolphin but in my group I had a dolphin named Jenny that was pregnant, so we didn't get to do to much with her.

I'm just going for the relaxation, white sand, and limited amount of people. And the food isn't that bad either.

I think it sounds heavenly. All alone, no one pressing for attention. This also leaves your husband to be father on Father's Day. Have a great time, you deserve it!!!

What a thoughtful husband you have! What a great surprise for you :)

Sounds great and VERY thoughtful. Have fun. :D

Wow! What a wonderul guy & so thoughful;)

Mine could do with taking a lesson to two from your DH:)
