I have something positive to say about this week

The nighttime spectaculars are some of the most uninspired offerings that I have seen come out of Imagineering in a long time.

Wife and kids asked prior to Enchantment, I said watch and decide for yourself. Everyone agrees, nowhere near as good as Wishes or Happily Ever After. You’d be better off spending time on rides.

All rides at HS are gone for the rest of the day except for shows…so you would maybe get 2 rides in unless you did shows for which genie plus is a waste. It’s just not made to function on high crowd days.
It is 4:30 on President's Day. It's only one ride but Star Tours is still available with a booking window 30 minutes from now. I know it sucks, but saying there are ZERO rides available at 1:00 is just not true.

If guests do not know about how you can refresh the return times or that LL times sometimes come back, you would maybe get 3-5 LLs on a busy day at the parks like today.

if you already did Star Tours - there are zero rides. Please stop trying to sugar coat this. you are spending $2600 and you can't get on a ride for less than a 2 hr wait. Just NO. Its school vacation week... its a freaking kids age thing to do... they are maximizing attendance at the expense of the experience. It isn't working...ive been doing this for a long time... NOT WORKING

if you aren't here today, you can't speak to the experience.. This is really horrible. I know how to refresh my phone.
Wasn't speaking towards your issue, but I am helping friends with MK today and able to get LLs no problem. Same thing I did for HS yesterday, same experience.

The cast members have been incredible. They

Enchantment should be renamed to “ride something” It has zero re-watchability for us.

I'm not trying to sugarcoat, so I apologize if it came off that way. It's a national holiday and also February Break for the northeast. It's a rough day to be at the park for sure. Especially studios with the way things run out faster. I really wish they did what they did at Christmas and only had one ILL per park, freeing up more Genie+ access. It sucks. People have been pent up for 2 years and are now finally traveling in droves. Genie plus is not great. It's a perfect storm. I get it. But people tend to talk in extremes here. At 11:00 today you could book Star Tours, Alien Swirling Saucers, Rock n Rollercoaster. With planning you should solidly be able to book at least 3 rides at HS. But it shouldn't have to involve stringent planning and perfect timing, Hoping they make adjustments soon, but not likely.

Just so you under how it works. You book 1 genie +. You are unable to choose another until you ride the 1st one. As the day progresses they have less availability. Yesterday I was refreshing and I couldn’t get 4 for my family. I tried for two parks. Soarin. Test track. Nemo was available but it was also about a 15? Min wait. Doesn’t really make sense for paying a premium

Agree with you, OP. The cast members are outstanding. The Cirque show was excellent. That was the best thing from this weekend. We spent Saturday and Sunday at Epcot; today at MK. The Festival food was meh. We knew it would be crowded this weekend, but dang - MK was out of control.

Ride wise: Remy was a one and done. Not sure why, but the original in Paris is superior. Only two Epcot rides are worth it for us: Test Track and Soarin'. In MK, we enjoyed Splash Mountain, but Haunted Mansion was terrible. The wait times were WAY too high for the other rides we were interested in, so we left. It was hard to walk around as well because of how crowded it was today.

We enjoy Disney World, but doing a few things differently next time. We'll bring our own food; we don't enjoy the park offerings. We'll invest in G+ next time; we hated waiting so long in line. We'll stay on property. We'd rather park the car for the stay and use our feet or Disney transportation to get around.

This is not correct. You can book your first selection at 7:00 am. Your next selection can be booked 2 hours after park opening or once you have ridden your first selection, whichever comes first. So for HS, you can book your second ride at 11:00 am with a 9:00 am park opening. And then your third can be booked 2 hours after you book your 2nd or once you've ridden your 2nd attraction and so on. So if you book Slink Dog at 7:00 am and you return time is 5:00 PM, you can still book your second choice at 11:00am, you do not have to wait until you've ridden Slinky.

I am kind of glad that Genie + is not working out for so many people. I hope that everyone stops buying it so that they will get rid of it. It sounded like a bad idea before it even rolled out. Especially since so many people say that they don't like having to have to do so much "work" while at the parks. I can't be the only one who knew this was going to be a poop show.

Let me give you an example:

Sunday at MK around 5:00, son and I jumped in Buzz line. It moved slowly, then just as we were about to enter building the standby line stopped for 11 minutes while people streamed through LL. Just absurd.

We were there in January and the food we had was some of the best we've ever had.
Even at the food courts at AS Movies.
But Genie was horrible. AWFUL.
The crowds were unbelievable.
But all said and done we're planning on going back in September,

I'm sorry, OP. That sounds frustrating. Holiday weeks are definitely tough. Whenever most kids have time off of school, it's going to be expensive and crowded. This has always been the case, but it is especially true this year due to a pent-up demand for travel. Preparation and strategies can help mitigate some of the side effects of holiday crowds, but only to an extent. I'm sorry you didn't like Ratatouille. We thought it was super cute! We also liked Harmonious (not as much as IllumiNations, but we really liked it!). Food for us was hit or miss, but that's always been the case for as long as I can remember, and we had some really good food while we were there too. We also liked Genie+. but I know that everyone has strong opinions on that. I'm sorry you didn't have a good time.

That's not how it works. You can get your first one at 7am. You can get your second one two hours after the park opens OR when you scan into your first Genie+ reservation, whichever is first. After that, you can get another Genie+ two hours after you made your most recent reservation OR when you scan into the most recent reservation you made. Etc, etc. We stacked about five Genie+ reservations for an evening at MK this way.

I know you are frustrated, but the refresh strategy DOES work. Last week, I was in more or less a similar scenario. At 3pm the only things open were Indiana Jones, Star Tours and like some Pixar show. Oh and Beauty and the Beast.

I sat and refreshed while I was waiting in line for TSMM and SDD which had shown nothing suddenly popped up with an opening at 3:20. TSMM also had an opening at 4:00 and I saw a ToT go by as well around 4pm.

So refresh DOES work. I know you don't want to do that. I know you feel you shouldn't have to do that. Not having that debate. I get the challenges, and I don't have a good solution there. But refresh will eventually give you a pebble.

And as always, may the odd's be ever in your favor.
