Is there parking at the Beach House?

Should we bring our own chairs/umbrella, etc. or can we rent them? Is so, does anyone know how much that would cost?

Are there restaurants in walking distance of the resort? DH and I have never been to HH and the description in the members' book isn't very helpful. With two kids under 3, we're not going to want to pack them into the car everynight to go find some food, so we're hoping there is something close by.

There is parking in the beach house lot and also covered parking underneath. We were there last week and had no problem finding a spot no matter what time of day. Of course, that may vary from time to time. There is also a shuttle from the resort to the beach house. We saw quite a few people, mostly teens, using this, but we haven't tried it.

There were many people with their own chairs/umbrellas, but you may also rent them if you choose. We rented two chairs and an umbrella for two days for $48.00. You rent them from the lifeguard and it can be charged to your room.

I know there are restaurants within walking distance, but can't think of the names off-hand. I know someone else will be able to jump in and answer this one for you.
We've only been there once for any length of time, and mostly cooked in the villa. We were a party of 8 with an infant, and my Dad volunteered to help cook, so we took him up on it. We did, however, try out the All-American Cookout on Tuesday night and the Low Country Shrimp Boil on Friday night that were offered at the resort. We thought they were both very good.
If you have any more questions, I'd be happy to try to help.
Enjoy your trip!

We had dinner at Scott's across the bridge from the Disney resort and loved it. There's also the King Fisher, San Miguel and an Italian restaurant which smelled wonderful as we passed by. May have to try that next trip. There are some shops along the way also. Our kids enjoyed getting ice cream and sitting outside listening to Shannon Tanner perform.

The walk is really easy one if you put the little ones in a stroller.

I believe chair rental was $26 for the first day and $16 for every day after that. Last year we rented them, this year we brought our own but by the end of the week, we started traveling ligher and leaving things back at the resort because it got to be a hassel.

Enjoy!

Just figured i'd throw in that everytime i hear someone talk about restaurants at hh, they say crabby nicks is horrible. So dont eat there:)
