We will be coming the week of October 20th-27th and I read your tips for EE and FP's but I was wondering if it is necessary to use the same stradegy considering the time of year we are going. I am finding it difficult looking at the Calendar to fit everything in with a 3 day park hopper passes. We want to avoid the first Sat and Sun we arrive due to jetlag from the east coast and 3 young kids but Monday, and Tuesday does not have Block Party, Alladin, Fireworks or Fantasmic....Wednesday does not have Block Party Fireworks or Fantasmic and Thursday we are doing the Halloween event at CAP. We are just unsure of doing EE and when and how we are going to fit it all in because of the weekday schedule of the shows. Also, because of the time of year we are going...should we not worry about EE? and is a good day to go on Friday when all the shows are running? or is it more crowded? Also, if we use EE, should we go to Tomorrowland first or Fantasyland and if we DON'T use EE which direction should we go. Like I said, I read all your TIPs but didn't know about going in October. I was also thinking that we should suck it up and deal with the jetlag on the first Sunday we arrive and do Fantasmic or the Fireworks but we were in California last year and the jet lag was more brutal than we thought. Sorry to ramble...any advice you have would be appreciated!!

where are you coming from? When my dh and I went on our honeymoon to Hawaii we just stayed on Chicago time, so our early morning things were easy for us, and since we aren't night life people, going to be at 8 was no big deal (we are from chicago area).

I think the same will be true in CA for us this coming up spring. We will stay on Chicago time and then an early start won't be a big deal and even staying up late one night or two won't kill everyone. We were surprised when we went to DW in 05 how our then 2 1/2 and almost 6 yr old were able to handle being up late w/o a problem.

Not sure I helped any, but my suggestion is to just do the Sunday there so you can do the shows.

I think that those are all decisions you have to make yourself.

if you can get up for EE I would recomend it, because you can get on a bunch of rides with little to no wait.

If fantasmic, and fireworks are important to you, then I would suggest going on the Sunday, so if the fireworks are canceled you'll also have friday as an option for getting to see it.

tomorrowland vs fantasy land... which one would you enjoy more, pick that one and to it.

yes it will be more crowded on Friday, that is why they have the shows, because there are enough people to support the cost of putting it on.

The bottom line, it is your vacation, do what you want to do if you want to sleep in, then do so, if you want to stay up all night then do so.

All good advice. I would also recommend doing EE, especially earlier in your trip since you will be on an earlier time zone anyways.

Fastpasses are easy to do and you should use them as much as possible, but it may turn out you may not need them very much. They will probably be more useful if you choose to go on a Sunday or Friday.

Fridays usually are not as crowded during the day (as Sat/Sun) but get more crowded in the evening as AP holders come in for the evening. If you hold Fantasmic and/or fireworks for Friday, then the day should allow you alot of time for rides and even if the evening is busy you are only there for the shows. If I had a choice, I would rather not do Fantasmic and/or fireworks on my final night. They just seem more fun earlier in the trip. But if that is they way your days work out, then just do it.
