Ok. I have ALWAYS wanted to eat at the California Grill. DH believes that we are going on a family vacation we should stay together as a family (personally I believe that he doesn't want to pay for in room day care for DS2 and DS1, which would be over a hundred bucks w/ the 4 hr min, tip and the transportation fee)

So anywhoo, is children at California Grill REALLY frowned on. I have actually never read where it was but I guess I just always assumed that. DSs at time of travel will actually be 3 & 2 They are for the MOST part :lmao: well behaved. I was just curious as to what everyone thoughts about this.

I mean of course I wouldn't do it during "prime" times like fireworks or sunset...but you get my drift. TIA:thumbsup2

We've been there twice with my SIL and her family and had kids ages 2,3 and 8, then the next time 9 months, 4,5 and 10. We're going again just our family with a 2 and 6 yr old. There were tons of tables with kids and the wait staff does well giving them things to do. They are not frowned upon at all! If you wanna take them, do it! If you want some grown up time, get a babysitter! (if you take them get the rice crispie sushi treat for them for dessert. It's really cute little rice crispie treats with gummy worms. My kids love it.)

Children of any age are welcome at CG, no worries.

That said, it's an upscale restaurant, and a long meal. But as long as they're able to sit quietly for a couple of hours without getting bored and restless, and you and your husband are willing to take a child who gets noisy or disruptive out of the restaurant till they calm down, you'll be fine. The waitstaff there seems to be good with kids.

Plus it's pretty loud in there so unless they are screaming, I doubt they would even be noticed. They also have gold fish to snack on & crayons to keep them busy. :thumbsup2

We had our kids with us they were 5 and under at CG. No problems. We saw a number of families with small children there. Loved the restaurant. Just loved it! :goodvibes If you do book, make it around the time there are fireworks. It was a real treat to see!

Bring your kids everyone else does. Like PP said it is a very loud and chaotic restaurant so no problem.
