hi all, not sure whats going on with me..............
but this is such a vicious cycle! I have lost all motivation and just cant keep myself going!
I am up and down up and down! Its really depressing.
Last week I did so good! I exercised eveyday last week.
this week nothing. I have been busy but last week it was such priority and this week I am just blahhhhhhhh.....
I feel the weight creeping back on... I can tell by the way my clothes fit. I have been eating things that I havent eaten in months.......................
Please all folks I feel l like I am my wits end!

Renee,
Look at your clippie. Look how far you have come! You are worth this weight loss. You are doing it for yourself. You are doing it to feel healthy. No other reasons. You have to give to you right now!

I just tell myself that I do not want to die. I fear becoming ill from being overweight, and I love my family so much that I do not want to be without them.

Whenever you are about to put something in your mouth ask yourself why you are doing it. Are you having a carb craving? Are you sad or lonely? Are you feeling like you are starving because you missed a meal? This will help you work out your emotional eating pattern. It seems like you are on a negative cycle. Start talking to yourself now, and I think that will help you get off of it.

Recognizing and acknowledging that you are slipping is the first step to getting back on target. I've been there many times myself, so I can relate. And Purrr is right, look at what you've accomplished so far. You KNOW you can do it.

Couple of things I've seen posted around these boards that I thought were awesome motivators:

"Nothing tastes as good as thin feels"
and
"Being a successful loser isn't about perfection, its about improvement"

Especially the second one. It reminds me that even if I've had a bad day or week and gotten totally off track, there is absolutely no better time than now to get back on track and start losing again.

Remind yourself that falling off the wagon this week doesn't make you a "bad" person, it just makes you human. Don't let it get you down. You know you want to do it, and at 40 pounds lost already, you know you CAN do it.

Hi Renee,

I know how hard it is when you feel like your yo-yo ing and having a good week then a bad week. I spent March & April yo yoing back and forth. I'd mostly do good then I'd eat chocolate or sugar and the evil stuff made me want more.

About 4 weeks ago a girl at my WW meeting who I had thought she would reach her goal around the same time as I did suddenly reached her goal and I was just sitting there doing mostly good but with enough bad weeks thrown in that I had about 2 months of not moving or doing much. So I made a decision that day and haven't looked back. I've haven't eaten out once, put one bad thing in my mouth etc. I just had to make the DECISION as Oprah always says. Now it seems easy and I feel really good. The weight is moving again and I'm only 8.6 pounds from goal.

I know you can do this...........the question is: Are you willing to make the Decision to just DO IT?

You go girl!!! :goodvibes Sending you lots of Good Vibes and Lots of Sunny OP days :sunny:

Renee: sorry to hear your motivation is slipping--I know that mine has. Sometimes, it just seems too hard to do everything for everybody, and so I am the one who is shortchanged. Goodness knows that you have a full plate with all that is going on in your life.

Good luck--I just restarted Atkins induction after playing around for the last few months since the 1/2 marathon. My weight has ballooned to its highest point ever. :guilty:

I love the successful loser quote--I need to keep that in mind.

Renee, you can do this! Please don't despair. Just get to making it one step at a time, one thing at a time. If you fall get back up. Your are worth it and we are here for you!

You go girl!

Hi Renee,

It's Judy from the half-marathon (Atlanta) :wave2: . I know how you feel. I am not in a good place right now as far as my exercise and eating habits. :guilty:

School is out now and I have to get myself back on track no excuses.

We have been here before and made a lot of progress. I'm sure we can
get ourselves motivated :cheer2: and achieve our goals.

Good Luck! :cheer2: I'm cheering you on.

Maybe you shouldn't be going to the gym every day of the week. I've read a lot of studies that say this. If you work out hard 5 days a week enjoy 2 days off, you've earned it.
