My dear psychiatrist has prescribed me a very, very heavy duty tranquilliser, to be taken when needed. Basically, you take it and for several hours afterwards you are totally, 100% zonked. I have to be careful not to take it too often as the effect is very addictive :\

Hope it's not Serquil

Took one of these once, had to crawl to the bathroom. Once I fell asleep woke 13 hours later and still couldn't function.

I was on Seroquel once. I almost missed a WDW vacation because of it! I was a teenager at the time, and both of my parents had to stand over my bed, shake me, and even use ice water at times to get me up! Then, for at least 4-5 hours after a 12 hour sleep, I'd be drowsy and crashing into things. It was really sad!

Welcome to my world I have been or am on them all. Just stay out of the kitchen. I have been known to fall asleep with food still in my mouth and the dogs just wait til I go to sleep to scoop up what I haven't eaten. It's a good thing I don't drive.

Sounds like some serious stuff. If I experienced the same things some of the others here have said, it wouldn't be addictive to me because I'd seldom want to take it. Good luck with whatever ails you.

Ah yes, good old Seroquel. If you ever need a good night's sleep, Seroquel is the med for you!

I'm actually on something rather more unusual which acts more as a tranquilliser than a sedative - basically it doesn't send me to sleep but mellows me out something wicked.
