DH and I went through the #'s and I have cancelled my ddp!!!!!Instead we got annual passes, and will get the dde card.

Hold my hand - I am frightened :scared1:

Does anyone know if the 10% dining discount for being an annual pass holder and the 20% DDE card discount are combined?
I sent an email but I haven't heard back.

Hopefully you'll find out for sure, but I doubt it will stack.. And also, I'm looking here And I see some 10% off during LUNCH at a lot of epcot and a number of resort places, but none of them apply to alcohol either.

Of course you are getting the DDE, so it really doesnt matter as you'll still be getting the 20% of the whole deal :)

oh, I thought the dde card always covered alcohol (should I admit this was a big factor in our plan choice ;) )
where are you finding a list of included restaurants?

Last week I did the exact same thing for my "All girls trip" in December. BUT, since then I have regretted it because the DDP is so fun not having to worry about cost and of course, I cancelled my discounted package that is no longer available. Sometimes too much knowledge can be a bad thing. ;) It's a good thing my friend is clueless and let's me handle everything (I think). :goodvibes

weeeeeellll, you probably don't want to hear this, but if I was going in Dec. I would do the DDP.
I am going in '08 and the changes (esp. having to worry about the tip) is my issue

There doesn't seem to be a lot of CS restaurants included when you look at that link?

DDE is not intended to cover counter service restaurants, only table service.

Discounts under DDE are available at counter service restaurants only at locations where there is no table service restaurant available (i.e. the value resorts, POFQ, and Animal Kingdom, at least until Tusker House reopens as a table service.)

Just wanted to update, I got an email from disney that confirms that you may *not* use the discounts together (figured as much, but can you blame a girl for trying ;) )

We loved DDE before DDP existed. We also got the DDE for 65.00 and it only was available to FL residents. Now, it is available to AP holders also, and costs more for FL residents (go figure). Also, now the DDE will automatically charge for the tip on all meals (so I read on these boards). Anyway, last year we did not even use DDE card once, since we did DP - what a waste of our money. We will not renew it again....

Thank you for the kind words! My little angel Rachel and I thank you!!

You will not be disappointed with the DDP. We love it - it has value, variety, surprises, and you get to try the places you probably would not try otherwise because of the expense. We are excited to do the deluxe plan in April. Yes, it is expensive at first glance, but we will be getting 5 refillable mugs, 2 snacks a day per person, and we will go to 2 credit meals and shows every evening (except our "must do" dinner at LeCellier, of course) and then our mornings will be taken up with character breakfasts. The snacks will be used for lunch if we need something between am and pm meals. It will be nice not having to figure out how we will use up CS meals. We enjoy TS meals so much more than CS meals. The DDDP is such a good value for us!!! Yum, I can hardly wait!!!

You will love the DDP, just make sure you make your ADR's , have all the TS planned and and you will love it. Our 3rd DDP trip will be the last week in Sept. again. Love it!
