Hi! I am planning a trip to WDW with my family. Our kids are 3 and 7 and I don't think a park hopper pass is appropriate for us. We would not get much bang fro our bucks. My dumb newbie question is can we visit the Magic Kingdom in the am, leave for a rest period and then re-enter the Magic kingdom later in the day? We will be staying off site. Thanks!

Meant to say will a base ticket allow us to visit a park in the am, leave for a rest period and re-enter the same park later in the same day. :goodvibes

Yes.

You can leave & return to your one park however many times you wish too that day.

Absolutely not a dumb question at all! :goodvibes In fact it is a common concern since they do like to encourage the park hoppers.

As previous posters have said you can leave the park and return the same day to that same park with just the standard ticket.

Yes, the all above is correct....

And just to add, with children that young....good money saver not getting the hoppers......there's enough in each park to satisify a whole day and then some.....after a few trips hoppers might be considered.....

We're park break people and go back around noon each day for resort pool use and pool lunch picnics......and then return to the same park later in the day......breaks up the monotony and gives the children some away time from overload....

That's our plan Pepe. Why spend an extra $220 for the hoppers and hardly use them! We will most likely return to our condo for a "lunch break" and maybe some pool time (we are going in March) and the back to the park for evening fun. Thanks again everyone!
