I was soo bummed that I won't be going to the girls only trip that I had to find another way to get back to DL. So I have decided to reward my DS9 with a mommy & son day at the happiest place on earth...

Lately, my DS9 has been really showing us how responsible he is and taking the initiative to help out around the house and with our animals (we have LOTS).. For the past few months, he has gone out and cleaned up outside and kept his room very clean (despite having to share with his little brother DB7) without being asked to do so.

This Sunday morning I have a planning meeting for our specialty dog show (the reason why I will be missing out on the Ladies only weekend) and I will be bringing him with me under the assumption that he will be helping me with the hospitality bags. Since the meeting will be in fullerton, I figured that it was the perfect time to reward him and at the same time fulfill my craving for Disneyland...

Once the meeting is over, it's off to DL :drive: Hopefully he won't realize where we are going until we get close... My kids have built in GPS systems and remember landmarks very easily... Maybe I will take the streets there :goodvibes

I have never taken only one of my kids before, so this should be an interesting experience... Thankfully this is the son that doesn't like California Screamin but LOVES to ride Pirates... pirate:

Look out for us on Sunday... If you see us, please say hello! :flower3:

Sorry to drag this on, but I am really looking forward to Sunday.... Thanks for letting me share...

How lucky for both of you ~ have a great time! In June of 06 DS & I went to DLR with my mom ~ she was in the area for work so she was only with us in the evening. While it was too hot and too crowded we still had a great time.

I have loved each of my one-on-one trips with my kiddos. I'm sure you'll have a blast (even though you'll be greatly missed by the ladies group!)

That's a wonderful idea. I remember when my DS was little and he and I would go just the two of us. While I love going as a family, it's so important to have that one on one time.

I hope you have a magical day with lots of amazing memories to share.

And I hope you can make it on the next Girls Only trip!! ;)

Rats....hound & lil hound (DS age 9) will miss you all by a week. (We'll be there on 4/20).

On our last trip, we saw you & your guys (with their way cool & colorful rasta hats) in line at Alice & I should have yelled at you. (Padewan Alec... aka lil hound....was after me all day to get him a "way cool rasta hat" after seeing your guys. :lmao: )

Have a great time WendyPooh. Going solo with a 9 y/o is a blast! :hippie:

Say hi to Toadie for me!

I really cannot wait to go with him... It is soo hard to keep that secret and sometimes I just want to tell him, but I know that the look on his face when we get to the parking structure will probably bring me to tears :goodvibes

I soo wish that you had said something to me.. I have my LGMH on my bag at all times patiently waiting to someone else from the DIS!

I admit to being shy too, because I saw Albort one night at DCA and was too shy to even ask if it was him. I even spent $$ at his cart and bought my kids those darn light up necklaces just to get close enough to ask him :sad2: but then I chickened out...

Have a great time when you go on the 20th...
