Oh God, I'm so sorry to all those who have lost their pets.

I had to have our Timmy put down a couple of weeks ago and it still hurts.

I was such a coward, I couldn't even be in the operating room when they administered the injection.

We have a "Hunter" - a little beagle. We've only had him 10 months and I know how hard it would be to lose him.

We also have a lab who is 9 and starting to slow down.

We have to take Hunter, our yellow Lab, to the vet's to be put down.

He is 9 years old and has cancer. Youngest Ds and I will be there. I want us to be the last thing he sees.

We still will have Dudley, our Shih Tzu, but the house will seem so empty without Hunter.

Now I will be able to hang the toilet paper back on the wall (instead of hiding it in the drawer) because Hunter loved nothing better than to grab it (with the holder) and RUN!

Now I will be able to wear black & navy blue without getting white hair all over it.

Now 1/2 the welcoming committee will be missing when I come thru the door.

Keep us in your thoughts & prayers.

Just an update to say he's crossed Rainbow Bridge. Before we made the final trip in the car, we gave him one last roll of toilet paper! to all of us who have ever lost a fur covered family member.

P.S. for the record, you really are a hero knowing you had to make an appt to put him down and then wait for however long you did. Wow - you are a stronger person than me!

So sorry you lost your boy. I can tell how much a part of your family he was. I have a yellow lab too. They really are special dogs, 100% love on four legs (maybe 90% love, 10% mischief!!) I'm sure you have some wonderful stories!
