I feel like I've asked this question many times before..but I just need reassurance that I'm doing everything right. I've had very helpful people on this site tell me that I will be able to get into the college program if I am taking a class during the application. I'm wondering how many people have done this and have gotten in? (I'm really stressing out since the Disney college program is taking applications now and I still haven't found a class to take. This is my dream and I'm letting it slip away since I don't know what I'm doing. It's driving me bonkers and it's my fault, shame on me and my procrastination.) I've found a community college near by and tomorrow I will be calling to ask if it is possible just to take one class. Hopefully I can get my ducks in a row.

Another quick question, How many classes do you have to take to be considered a part-time student?

I really appreciate all the help. You have no idea how much I love this site and how helpful everyone is. Thank you!

Unfortunately you may already be too late to apply this semester if you have not applied to take classes yet. To be considered a part time student, you would need to take two classes for three credits each. Also, I go to my local community college and I know that after three weeks of classes being in session, they will not allow anyone to add or register for classes as most of the classes are working on their first exams around this time and a quarter of the class's information would have been missed. Maybe you could apply for fall and do a CP in the Spring. I am sorry that I only had bad news for you.

Even if it is bad news, I'm glad you have given me helpful information just the same. Now I know what I need to do to get into the spring CP. I was so stressed because I had no idea what I needed to do to be applicable but now I can relax and get everything in order.

I have done this. I did my first program right after college. 2nd one during the summer alumni program. I ended up going back to college online for fun because I was bored. So last fall I enrolled at some tech school. I took one online hospitality class and applied for my 3rd program. So you only have to be part-time to get in. You could take a 1 credit class and get in.

I have one last question. I read on the Disney College program website that I would need to complete one semester of college. Is that something I would need to do with the 1 credit class? Would I need to complete it first or would I just need to sign up and start taking it while I apply to the program?

I found an online class that that is in my price range and that is starting this week. Once I start taking the class (It's an online course) Would I be able to apply for the program right away or would I need to complete it first? :D Hopefully I will be able to just jump in and apply for the College program, I can hardly wait!

On their website it says that you can apply for the program during your first semester of college, the assumption being that you will have completed a semester of college by the time you actually begin the program. So yes, if you start taking a class now, you will be able to apply for the Fall 2012 program.

Good luck :)

I have registered and paid for the class so now I am one step closer! I'm so excited.
