I have an exciting idea for a brief DIS mini-meet after HDDMR to see MVMCP fireworks!

I just thought about this after talking with transportation castmember Chip'n'Dale.

How many of you that are attending the Hoop-Dee-Doo Muscical Review on Tuesday night, December 3, 2002 at 7:15 P.M. would like to see the 9:15 P.M(last year's time) Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party huge fireworks from somewhere outside the parks.

The Pioneer Hall is very near the the Fort Wilderness Campground Marina. And since Magic Kingdom is open for MVMCP until midnight, the boat launches should be running.

I would love to take a boat ride from FWC to MK. And then depending on the time, either watch the fireworks there or take the monorail to the Grand Floridian Resort and watch them from the beach or their beautiful, waterfront Narcoossee restaurant covered porch for a few drinks and then go back in to look at their huge 50 foot christmas tree and decorations and lifesize gingerbread house. Or stay and see the lake Pageant of Lights parade.

Or we could take the bus from FWC to the GF and do the same thing. But they may only go to the Ticket Transportation Center for monorail service. We could then walk to the Polynesian beach.

Or take the bus from the FWC to TTC, then monorail; or the boat to MK and walk to the the Contemporary Resort and go to the California Grille and have a few drinks after watching the MVMCP fireworks from the observation deck.

We'll probably get out of HDDMR around 8:30 P.M., so getting from FWC to the monorail area in front of the MK is essential.

So my idea is an outside the MK park MVMCP fireworks DIS mini-meet.

Afterwards, maybe a second DIS mini-meet just to see the Grand Floridian Resort Holiday decorations.

Since the MVMCP is open unti midnight, the WDW bus transportation will be running to the resorts until 1:00 A.M..

Anyway...lol...I want to see the fireworks. And if I'm not to tired, I'll go and see the Grand Floridian christmas tree, then go down by Narcoossees and sit in a rocking chair and watch the lake Pageant of Lights parade if they run after the fireworks.

Would anyone be interested in a DIS mini-meet to see the MK MVMCP fireworks?

And then maybe see the GF christmas tree and maybe the PoL parade?

O.K., I'm getting tired and I'm rambling. I'm going out on the balcony and listen to the ocean waves and watch the lightening show on the horizon.

But, I'll be back...lol.

While I was getting my beer, I was thought about something else.

If you want to see the Wilderness Lodge 50 foot chrismas tree and decorations before the HDDMR, there would be a very nice boat ride from the WL to the FWC to see the HDDMR.

Just a thought for another mini-meet.

Anyway, I think that what I'm going to do.

So,

1. ~5:00 P.M. Wilderness Lodge Holiday decorations DIS mini-meet with a boat ride to FWC HDDMR.

2. ~9:15 P.M. MVMCP fireworks outside the park DIS mini-meet.

3. ~9:45 P.M. Grand Floridian Holiday decorations DIS mini-meet.

4. ?00:00 Pageant of the Lights lake parade DIS mini-meet if available.

I'll be glad to host each of these.

Now...back to the beach...lol.

Ray.

As usual sounds like a plan ! I think I'll have to play this by ear as I 'll be falling asleep by 10.00 as is obligatory on my second night it's somehting to do with the old jet laggy thing - but I have a feeling it may be different this time what with all the excitement.

Glad to see you are thinking ahead as usual. That sounds like a lovely plan Ray. Sign me up!

Yikes, Ray! I love this idea, but I thought we were going to stick around after the HDD and roast marshmallows around the campfire?? Oh, no, I have to make a choice?!?!?

Or take the bus from the FWC to TTC, then monorail; or the boat to MK and walk to the the Contemporary Resort and go to the California Grille and have a few drinks after watching the MVMCP fireworks from the observation deck.

The view from here is fantastic, but i will just go with the flow as they all sound good to me.

Hi, Barb. Unfortunately, The Fort Wilderness Campground Sing-a-long with characters and Marshmellow roast starts at 8:00 P.M. during December. And it only lasts for 45 minutes. Then they start their short movie or cartoon directly after that. Unfortunately, we will still be in HDDMR.

Our Hoop-Dee-Doo Muscical Review starts at 7:15 P.M. and we have to be there at Pioneer hall by 6:45 P.M. to enter.

The HDDMR lasts about two hours, until 9:15 P.M., but that is when the third show starts. I'm thinking that we should be out by 9:00 P.M. They usually have three HDDMR shows a day at 5:00, 7:15, and 9:15 P.M. according to FWC.

We'd be cutting it close to take the boat to MK. We'll probably see te fireworks on the lake in transit. I don't think that we can make it to the CR observation deck.

I don't know???? But I think that I will try if we get out on time. At any rate I like boat rides.

Just thinking out loud again.

We got plenty of time to decide. And tis is a planning board...lol.

Sincerely, RaySharpton

Count me as possible game too!!! My roomie will be going to MVMCP so I don't have a curfew that night!!!! ROFL ;) ;)

We did the MK fireworks cruise (which might be another possibility???????) in December and the view was awesome so I'm thinking that perhaps the view just from the TTC would be just as awesome....but I have also seen the fireworks from above the Contemporary and that is even more awesome!!!!! So I'm game for that one!
