Am I still able to use it for admission?

I've poked around the internet a little bit and I can't seem to find a price/ any of these for sale. It's still valid- it's attached- and I'm kind of at a loss at what to do with it.

If I am able to use it for admission to the parks- I'm assuming I can use it to upgrade to an AP when I need to renew mine. Can anyone confirm?

TIA:lovestruc

I have a friend that had a non-expiring 4 day hopper from 1995. It had 2 days still on it, when we came in October 2013 she used one of the days to get into Disneyland. When we came a couple of days ago she was told that policies have changed and they are no longer honoring them. Wouldn't hurt to ask though!

There would have been no hoppers in 1995 since there was no need.

You should be able to take it to the ticket booth and exchange it for a one day single park ticket. You may or may not be able to use it to upgrade to an AP. You will NOT be able to use it toward the cost of renewal.

I assume you mean she used WDW admission for entry to Disneyland, which is not longer possible.

Awesome! I'm sure we will have a family member out here (eventually) that will need to use it. For now- it's going on the shelf. Thank you!

I've heard similar (as I have used days from a no expire Disneyworld ticket on a day by day basis a few years ago). However, I really think it comes down to the CM you talk to on any given day. Some will say no and others yes. So basically, just ask. If they say no then you are right where you started. If they say yes, then score!

Since about a year ago, I haven't read of any "yes" answers given. The WDW change in ticketing really changed things.

Previously you couldn't use the value of a ticket on an AP renewal, it had to be a new AP. And then you would lose your renewal discount. That may have changed with the latest round of ticket rule changes, but I doubt it. And when you exchange an old non-expiring ticket, the working ticket that they give you is complimentary. The best you could hope for is the 1985 value of the ticket to upgrade to an AP, but since they will have no way to scan that ticket to determine it, you will probably be out of luck there too.

That's a pity for those who have the WDW tickets.

It is a ticket for DL- so I'll be stopping by this Sunday for a park day- I'll post an update on what they say. Since the ticket does not have an exasperation date I think we are going to try to trade it in for a one day ticket and hold onto it.

(Ideally I'd love to get the $ on a Disney gift card- but I'm assuming that'll be a no go.)

Yeah, but in 1985 admission was only $16.50 vs the $96 it is today. If they were to give you the value on a gift card you would only get $16.50. It is much more valuable to you as a single park admission, even if for a non-AP family or friend.
