Asking for all types of good luck, karma, pixie dust or whatever else you want to "use" :goodvibes

I graduated in 2008 with a teaching degree. After one long term sub job, I havent been able to find a full time teaching position. I've had quite a few interviews but I've not been selected.

I have a non teaching position that I really despise.. and I would love to be able to say that I am a teacher-- even in a state (NJ) which is hurting for teachers.

I have a new suit, updated portfolio, prepped questions, printed out this districts school report card.. not sure what is next?

I'm cheering for ya:cheer2:! I have looked for a teaching job ALL summer so I know how tough it is out there for teachers. You sound like you're ready, good luck!

Good luck with your interview! I graduated in May with my teaching degree. At that time the local school districts informed us that there would be "little to no hiring" for the upcoming school year. I had resigned myself to subbing for the upcoming year, but I was called for an interview on Tuesday and offered the job yesterday. I hope you have similar good fortune! :wizard:

Practice those interview questions. I read a message board just for teachers seeking jobs and we have lots of practice questions. Pm if you're interested.

Good luck!! Which county are you looking into?

The question is really what county am I not looking at..

I've got a self proclaimed 50 mile one way limit which gets me:

Camden, Burlington, Gloucester, Mercer, Ocean, Atlantic,Cumberland, and parts of Cape May counties.

I am also open to going into PA or DE. (working on PA certification right now)

Good luck! I am a teacher in NJ and everything is so crazy right now! So many school districts went crazy with the lay-offs, including mine but now, with all the retirements, we ended up hiring! So there's hope! I'm way more north of you, or I would say apply to my district!

It sounds like you are really prepared so just practice those interview questions and get to know a little bit about the district...enough to be able to ask them a question when they ask if you have anything you want to ask them.

:thumbsup2

Hoping & Praying you get it!! I have seen you post several times about how bad you want this. I think it would give all of us who are trying to break into this field in some way a big lift to see you make it.

GOOD LUCK!!! :woohoo::banana::cheer2::wizard:
