I Have a Stupid Question!

We are staying at the Boardwalk Inn for three nights beginning 2/12/05 - then moving over to Universal (Royal Pacific) for a couple of nights.

In all the times we've been to WDW, we've never explored the Grand Floridian, Wilderness Lodge, Poly, etc.

Here's my stupid question, we will have a rental car. Can we just drive from the Boardwalk Inn to these hotels? :confused3 I would like to make a PS at a restaurant we've never been to before and I'm not sure how to get there - perhaps O'Hana, Whispering Canyon or one or one of the restaurants in the GF.

Thanks for the help! :teeth:

Yes you can drive to these hotels (or any disney hotel). They will stop you at the gate and you just have to tell them that you are there to eat and they will let you through. I have done this a few times and no problem.

I would drive to ONE of those hotels, say the GF, and park there. Then I would use the boat or monorail to go from GF to Poly, or take the monorail to the MK and hop the boat to WL...more fun than retrieving your car and driving from place to place! (Assuming you're eating at one of them and want to check out the others).

..is the one you don't ask! Visiting resorts.....We do this alot, and never had a problem. Be sure to have your resort parking form on your windshield if you drive. And it is best to have a PS if going to a restaurant. Remember, the resorts want you to spend money there and consider staying there sometime. The only issue would be using guest facilities intended for resort specific stays......like pools.

Great - thanks!

I will definitely make a PS once I decide which restaurant.

Thanks again!

When I stayed at the Boardwalk Inn, they gave me a parking pass for the windshield of my car. I was never stopped upon entering any area of disney property. As soon as they saw the pass, regardless of the resort, I was waved through.

The Poly will give you a 3 hour parking pass for you to visit. The do this to keep folks trying to get to the MK from parking in the Poly lot. After your 3 hours are up they can and do tow. I'm sure 3 hours is more then enough to enjoy the Poly restaurants. Ohana is our favorite!
