I have a So Cal Select AP...

disneyland.com says that it's $169 for that pass, so you'd pay the difference between what you paid for your select and the 169.

I've seen it mentioned on the dis that they prorate, and like nothing more than to believe and experience that, but a rather long and specific thread on mouseplanet indicates that there is no prorating when upgrading ap to ap.

We upgraded my mom from socal select to socal in December. It was $40, which would have been the cost of a blockout day ticket for her, so we just upgraded it instead.

DL does not prorate, also please note that if you upgrade your expireation date will remain the same and the cost is the difference between what you paid and the current cost of the pass you are upgrading to, so let's say you bought your pass when it was $99 and the next one up was $129, at that time it would have been the $30 difference, now it is $169, so it is now $70 that it would cost you.
