I am writing a DBQ [document based question] on the French Revolution and I have a quick question.

How long are DBQ's supposed to be?

It's a packet where they ask you all these questions. And you have to base the answers on the documents[like photos, excerpts from an essay etc.] that accompany the questions. Then you have to write an essay.

Does that make any sense?

I just googled DBQs, and it looks like there is no set length. It depends on the teacher. I see a lot of 5 paragraph essays and a lot that say "the length of the DBQ is long enough to answer the question".

yea mine are usually 4 or 5 paragraphs depending on the question
