I think.....:confused3 As I posted before our family needs to sell the DVC contract we own...... once the points are sold, you are NOT considered a member anymore,and your account is closed completely,is that correct?

I have no way of verifying the accuracy of my answer but I would think that once the contract is sold you are not longer a member...just like before you had the contract you were not considered a member...

Correct.
Sorry you have to sell.
 
Kind of like if you sold your home. You can't go back to stay in the home unless the new owners allow you.

That is correct. All pending reservation (RCI, DVC,etc) will be canceled as part of the transfer to the new owner.
 
Here's a thought... if you have the ways and means of purchasing an add on... even as little as 25 or 50 points, you could sell your current contract and would still be a member. As long as you have the same use year(would get that if bought through Disney) and completed purchase prior to selling, you would have same member ID #.

Through banking/borrowing, you could travel every two or three years.
