My child has autism and we would like to go to DAS for a few days to consider everything. Perhaps someone knows some problems that we may have and will help us to deal with it?
Thanks for support.

You would like to go to Walt Disney World (WDW)? Some general challenges are heat, crowds, noises, long queues for attractions, waits for food, waits for onsite buses or long walks to your car in the parking lots. If your son qualifies for DAS (Disability Access Service) that may help avoid the long ride queues. But you’ll need to manage many of the other challenges with your own planning and tricks or coping mechanisms.

The first post of THIS THREAD explains DAS.
THIS THREAD has broader information that may be useful.

You’ll see a lot of info so I’ll try to think outside the box.
Rider switch
Of course it all depends on the kiddo, but I’ve run into more than a couple people on the spectrum that love going but care little about many of the attractions. The important part to them is just being in the magic. So, rider switch enables other family members to enjoy some attractions while the person with asd can soak in the atmosphere.

I think the best way to approach a possible visit is to speak with your son's teachers, aides, doctors, etc. to determine potential issues.
Depending on your son's age, and his triggers, you could consider a stroller as a wheelchair, which would allow him to stay in his safe space (perhaps with a blanket to block external stimuli). Ear Protectors are another good idea if he is bothered by loud and constant noise (WDW is very noisy!)

Storyboards may help, again, based on his needs and his age.

You could also consider going at a less busy time--honestly, nowadays, that seems like never, but maybe avoid Spring Break, Easter, Thanksgiving week, and Christmas--the crowds are absolutely insane at those times. Depending on how much heat he can tolerate is another factor.
