I have a question about

North and South Myrtle Beach..Which one to stay at? What makes them different (other than the obvious) I am so confused.

Well from what I can tell when we have stayed there is that North Myrtle is alot slower and alot more laid back and I would definetely think of it more of a famiy scene.South Myrtle is more partying and things.

South Myrtle is where the old pavillion - amusement park -was. It has all the arcades, Ripley's and most of the minature golf. It's the older traditional Myrtle Beach.

North Myrtle is an outlet shopping mecca. There's a lot to do there too, but not as many people. Personally, I think North Myrtle is way cleaner! South Myrtle is where all the kids go for graduation. Depends on what you're going for.

NORTH!!! We prefer the Cherry Grove section, farthest north. It is mainy houses and older condo complexes (low rise) which makes for more room on the beach for the kids to run & play.

We've stayed at S. Myrtle once and hated it. I don't know what it was for us but we couldn't wait to leave and I love the beach and NEVER want to leave.
