I have a question about the monorail

The last time I was at WDW was 10 years ago and I don't remember a whole lot! LOL! We are staying off-site but would like to use the monorail to get around. We are staying at Bonnett Creek, which is by Caribbean Beach and Epcot. Where can we hop on the monorail without actually going in to one of the parks? I really would like to avoid driving our rental to MK since parking sounds so FUN! LOL! Any help is appreciated!

There are monorail stations at the MK Transportation and Ticket Center, EPCOT, Polynesian, Grond Floridian and the Contemporary. Unfortunately, you can only park at the resorts for a limited time unless you're staying there. When I went in June we had PS at CHef Mickey's in the Contemporary, and we were staying offsite. We were planning on driving to the Contemporary for breakfast and then taking the monorail right in. But when you go to park, the guard will give you a pass for a couple hours unless you have a resort ID. So it looks like your only options are to drive into EPCOT or MK. THe monorail stations are before the ticket booths, so you don't have to use your ticket to ride on the monorail, but you do have to drive into one of those lots. Sorry, but it's not that bad!!!

You can also park at Downtown Disney, take a bus to one of the resorts, and then use the monorail IF you hold a ticket that allows you to use their transportation.

Krys, we drive to MK all the time...its no biggie if your there early. Park, walk to TTC if your early ( or hop the little carts, if your aways away) then hop the monorail. There are people there to guide you where to park. Just remember to write down your row number. Not sure what you've read/heard but its very well laid out and not a problem at all.
