I Have A Job Interview Tomorrow

I currently have a job, however this is a better opportunity. For one thing, I'd be working outside of the house and for another it pays much better. The interview is for either an Inventory Clerk or an Accounts Payable Clerk at a company that makes golf carts. One really cool thing about the job is that there's a dog that someone brings in. The only problem that I can think of is that I've been told to act like a Type A personality in the job interview (the job is through a temp firm but is a temp-to-hire job) and that's so not me. I've also been told that it's fine for me to wear jeans to the interview because of the atmosphere there. Anybody have any suggestions?

I wouldn't wear jeans, even if the temp agency told you it was ok.

First, don't wear jeans, no matter what you've been told. Dress nicely, and then you can dress down after you've gotten the job. You want them to believe you're taking this seriously. Second, those recruiters don't always know what they're talking about -- if you're not a type A personality, and you fake it for the interview, you'll never be able to keep it up, and the company will quickly let you go. Show them that you're a hard worker and excited about the position, and if they really need a type A personality, you won't like the job anyway.

Good luck!

I definitely wouldn't wear jeans, but if the place is a casual vibe, you may not want to show up in a suit. Something business casual might be okay. A nice pair of pants or khakis with a sweater or button-front shirt.
Rather than acting Type A, perhaps you can ask questions about what the company is looking for in this position. Even though you are not Type A, maybe you have great attention to detail. I landed a job once simply because I brought a little notepad to the interview. (Granted, it was low-paying, entry-level, but it worked.)
Good luck with your interview!

I would absolutely dress up for any interview.....just proper etiquette. It shows you are serious about wanting a position.
