The photo of the cookie box made me start thinking about this and I want to ask some questions.

We have been to DL many time and have never seen Fantasmic because we just don't want to sit around staking out a place and if we wait, the viewing is so limited that the kids won't enjoy it. So we just skip it every trip. The more I keep reading about Fantasmic, it seems pretty cool, so I have some Q.

1. Is Fantasmic really a MUST see?
2. If we do the reserved seating, are all the seats good views? Are there people sitting in front of you?
3. Do I really have to wait over an hour to get good seats for the reserved seating? Isn't that why I have paid this money, so I don't have to wait.

Honestly, if we have to wait more than an hour, we don't do it, regardless of what it is. In fact if it is more than a 30 minute wait, I have to seriously think about it. So if we are going to see Fantasmic, it seems like reserved seating is the only way to go. However, I will be angry if I have to wait an hour anyway to get "good" reserved seats after paying that kind of money.

Any opinions would be great. It help me decide if we need to do this.

If you can make it to the 10:30 showing of F!, you won't have to wait a long time for a good seat. Just make sure you are in the NOS area near HM during the 9:25 fireworks, and once the crowd from the first show clears, swoop in and grab front row seats. You'll have only about a 30 min wait once you're seated.

Yes, Fantasmic is a must see, especially if not seen before. DD & I did it last summer. We had great seats, but there was a row of people behind us. I have heard others on these boards say their seats were obstructed or just so-so but that was not our experience. We waited about 20 minutes in line to check in and be seated. The dessert box was way over the top. I mean, who could eat all that junk and sugar? We took most of it back to the room but a lot of it ending up being thrown away. For us, on a busy summer night after walking the parks all day and being exhausted, it was worth it to just plop down in a seat and watch the show without crowds or stress at the end of the night. But realistically for the $$, it is not worth it. A lot depends on what time of year you are going. As others have said, see the 10:30 show on a slow night, or if you are on a 4-5 day trip, plan on staking out seats an hour early. Good luck deciding and have a wonderful trip.:goodvibes

Last year we did the balcony seating
here is my look at it
the only way were going to see Fanastmic was with reserved seats, it is too hard to keep my boys off the rides
I loved feeling special , and being served something was great!
We did not lose a huge chunk of the evening sittilng on the ground and my back aching more.
Would I do it again...........no we have seen fantasmic and feel satisfied
We are planning on the reserved seating for ELP in June.
I have no patience to sit out and hold our spot , so this works for us.

We think the same way you do, and have reserved Fantasmic seats each time. We haven't ever had a problem seeing the show, and check in doesn't take that long. (once we didn't checkk in at all (we didn't know we had to!) and they had our seats waiting for us.)

Only one member of your party needs to check in - if you think it will be really busy, come a little before check in time.

The boxes are very large for one person - we never get through them.

So you 'll have good seats, plenty to eat, some drinks and no need to woorry - sounds good to me.

right on jemilah...i hate sitting down on that ground...my feet and legs always fall to sleep...you know I havent done the elp reserved seating because of a couple of reasons...1. I can show up for that 15-20 min before showtime and always get good seats and 2. if you go to the trattoria restaurant and are eating during the time elp is going...they go right by there and you actually get just as good seats as someone that is paying the same amount for the reserved seating plus you have to eat dinner right? so kill 2 birds with one stone i say:goodvibes

Hey Lynn thanks I will look into that as a dinner possibility!
