I own an ambulance. Lion gate productions are filming a movie in my town and need an ambulance. Our fire dept. is wanting 10,000 an hour. I guess it is way to much for this company and they want to rent mine, They first offered me my name in the credits and then offered me 100.00 an hour (they only want it an hour) to rent it. I said no. They are calling me back with another offer. what do you think I should hold out for? John malcavich is in this film. I don't want to miss out on this. Its so cool but I think I should get more. What do you all think/ PLEASE HELP ME

I would take the $100 and name in the credits just because I would be excited to be a part of it. I'm sure there is someone here who knows about the business and can help you out. Sounds very exciting though.

$1,000 and credit

But that is just an off the wall guess from someone who knows nothing about the business.

Oh, and a contract. Make sure they will replace it if something happens to it.

As a film guy, it depends on what they need the ambulance for. I would say ask for 2,500 a day....not by the hour....because knowing film people, an hour will turn into more and then reshoots (so if they need another day, they need you $2,500 ambulance again).

If they don't bite then you could probably go 1,750...but either way make sure you get credit!

I was thinking 500 to 1,00 because I have to empty it. It is used for a business. a days pay and a little extra and my name in the credits. I figure 8 hrs to empty and re load and the hour they want it. Any other thoughts?

Jungle skipper, Do you really think that I can go that High. How should I present it. Just throw out the number. I was so unsure what to say today. I know that Liongate does lots of low budget films. I don't know what low budget means in the film world. pleas any more sugustions.

I have a Model T that was rented by the day for the film BILLY BATHGATE. Believe me, the rates you're considering are WAY beyond what I got.

I own it because our business is called the window medic so we bought an ambulance a real eye catcher. People know who we are now. too bad I can't run the lights when I am driving.

I would say name in credits and $ 100.00 an hour. That way if they go over an hour, you will be compensated for it. :teeth:
