We have 33 "leftover" points that I banked but know we won't be using. I have no desire to place them into RCI. I thought of "selling" them to that company that offers DVC accommodations but don't recall the name. Is it Dave's rental? Something like that? I don't even know if it's worth doing this for 33 points but on the flip side, feels like a waste if I don't. I'm open to any other suggestions. Thanks!

"David's" is dvcrequest.com. I believe that they have a 100-point minimum (for owners, not renters) but they might be willing to work with you if you're willing to add current points and/or borrow points to complete a reservation for a renter. They have more renters than they have members willing to rent out a reservation, so it might be worth contacting them.

If it's something you're interested in pursuing, I've seen people talk about renting a specific day reservation that they've already made. The instance I'm thinking of, the person made a 1 night reservation for Black Friday and said they had no trouble renting it out. Especially holiday weekends could be easy, depending on how long till expiration.

Also, you could consider transferring to another member if they need some extra points to complete a reservation. It would probably depend on how soon they would be expiring.

You can't transfer banked points. I've also seen David's list "last minute deals" that include existing reservations. Securing and then renting a reservation might also be an option but you run the risk of not being able to rent it out because no one is interested in that particular night or resort.

Oops, skipped over that part about banked points :rolleyes1

We once had a similar situation and offered to book a few nights for my BIL & SIL - it was enough for like 3 weekday nights in a std. studio at AKV. They supplemented the rest of their trip by starting out for a few nights over at SOG then moved. But they really loved having the opportunity to stay at AKV. And it felt good to help them out. Perhaps you could find a friend or relative who would enjoy a chance to use the points?! AKV or OKW or SSR (std.) have super reasonable points...even if you had to throw in like 5 or 6 points to round it off it would be better than letting them go to waste.

Or you could post them on the rent / trade board to see if anyone wants to "buy" them.

Do you have any upcoming reservations before your use year ends? And before your banking window? If so, call M.S. and they might be able to move points around for you.
