Only way they can be "stitched together" is if there is availability to make all nights either dedicated or lock-off.

You can call member service and ask them to continue the reservation…. Rooms get assigned 14 days in advance by the back of the house…. Some times they can fix it sometimes they cant

They are two different room types so the only way it can be fixed is if you get there and they say a room has opened up last minute.

Given that Dec is so busy, I’d plan you will need to move. But, they will not automatically just change you because some owners may have decided that on purpose.

I am hoping someone has a 1 night booked in a non lock off......to me...they are the same room.....with just an extra door......chatting with an agent now....we will see what he says

Put in the waitlist. Can't imagine with how big SSR is that a single night doesn't come up this far out.

To you, they feel the same. To other owners, they will visibly fume if they are put in a lock-off. Regular 2 bedrooms get booked before lock-offs do for a reason.

Exactly.

1. The second bedroom in a lock off has a kitchenette and its own outside door. This matters if you are putting kids in there.

2. Two bedroom dedicated has two real queen beds.

The difference really does matter.

Interesting i have never notice the outside door in the lock off unit but it make total sense…. I usually book a dedicated unit though just because it seems more ”homey“ to me and less hotel….

Yeah…it’s the studio door! I too book dedicated rooms unless I can’t get them because I love the two real beds in the second bedroom and how much larger it is without the kitchenette.

I guess you mean both rooms are in a standard section, not 1 standard and 1 preferred

I can also add that if I booked lock off and got dedicated I’d be upset. We commonly will travel with other family and split where we have 1BR and they have studio. We keep door open during day but at night we close the doors to basically have the studio and 1BR without paying the lock off premium to book them separately.
