I hate windstorms

They always scare me so much. ANyone else with heavy winds tonight?

Yeah we have heavy winds here tonight too. Last time we had the bad windstorm a tree from the neighbors yard fell on top of all 3 of our cars.

My roof is rattling right now. I don't think I'll sleep tonight. It's going to be a long day at work tomorrow.

One of the things I hate about living here in KY. We have nothing to block it either, no trees around. I guess that's a good thing and a bad thing, since we don't have to worry about trees falling onto our house or cars.
It is howling right now, roof and windows rattling. I don't sleep well when it's like this.

I hate the winds. It already has me stressing about how windy it is supposed to be here tomorrow. We had a 70 foot tree fall during the 08 windstorm and every since then I am paranoid about one of the huge trees falling on the house. My husband is sleeping in our room on the second floor but the kids and I are in the family room on the first floor.

You should hear the Christmas winds in Costa Rica. We are at 3900ft. crazy scary!!!

Gusty here also. It woke me up at about 4a.m. We have three huge 100yo trees in our yard that are covered with ice and I was really hoping they wouldn't come crashing into the house. So far, so good.

Yep it's been really windy here all night, it seems to howl outside the window. Very creepy.

Yeah here too. That and the ice hitting the window woke me up REALLY early this morning.

We've got everything going here today. Snow, winds, thunder, lighting and freezing rain. And I gotta go to work. *sigh* Its going to be a very long day.

I hate windstorms, too.

When we bought our house, it was surrounded by huge (forest-sized) oak trees, some of which were diseased. Through the years, we've been getting trees cut. Removing trees of that size is very expensive--think the cost of paying for most of a WDW trip with each batch of trees removed. Last month, we finally removed the last of our 'at risk' trees. With permission, we also cut one of the neighbor's trees that had a dangerous lean toward our house. Our trees are gone, but both neighbors have trees that could be a big danger if they fall. Yes--high winds worry us.
