I ran out of saline solution yesterday and forgot to buy any. I've had these glasses for about 9 months or so, and I still can't find the ground when I walk. One good thing about wearing glasses when I normally don't-people don't know who I am.:teeth:

I am with you! I'm waiting for my new pair of contacts to come and I'm miserable in my glasses. I can see pretty well except sometimes I have to squint to make out certain letters and numbers. Plus there's the whole attitude thing - I don't feel like I'm ready for the day and have a hard time getting things done with my glasses on. And they feel so hot and heavy on my face.

Glasses are sexy. ;)

LOL! But that's not me, JTB.:p Sunglasses are pretty sexy though.;) There's something about not quite being able to see the eyes.:teeth:

On you they are, MJ.:teeth:

I should say that I've worn glasses for 21 years now (contacts for 19 years;)).:teeth: But this one pair of glasses, I've only had for 9 months. I don't wear them all that often and I haven't gotten used to them.

I have glasses for near sightedness, I only wear them part-time, for driving and watching tv. I always wear my goggles, though.:p

I've been wearing glasses alot lately. I do have contact lenses for about 15 years but some days it's easier for me to put on glasses. I have these horn-rimmed cats eyes glasses that I think are so cute so I wear those. I feel tired wearing contact lenses, I think the DR made my prescription either too strong or too weak.
When I wear these contact lenses and try to read something I have to hold it far from my eyes. I've never had that problem before so I've been wearing glasses lately.

Disnee Dad Says.............................Wore contacts for a few years, but something got into the lense. Then a million to one shot, a tiny piece of copper fell into my eye, in the warehouse. These two incidents happened at the same time. I was blind for about ten days, and praise god that it turned out well.

I'm glad you're ok now, Disnee Dad! My eyes hurt just thinking about that!

MJ, I'm nearsighted too. Too much so.:o I'd love to have lasik, but then again, I'm kinda too chicken.:o

You know that one thing I really don;t like about wearing glasses? (Especially these smooth bifocals!) -

I have a hard time now with the 3D attractions!!! :( I have to get my line of vision just so to make it work right! Muppetvision hasn't been the same since I started wearing them......:(

You might need reading glasses. The "need" suddenly came on me!

I hate wearing glasses, too. After years of always wearing contacts, I now have problems. I hope to get back to wearing them soon. It shoots my confidence when I wear glasses. :(

I agree with you OP! I have worn contacts since 1980, and when I put my glasses on I just can not function as well. Would love to ditch them both, but I am scared of the surgery. DH has poor vision too, and so far 3 of our 4 kids are in glasses! I guess they didn't have much of a chance of getting good vision!

Pam,
When I wear glasses I can read fine, it's when I wear these contact lenses I have the problem.

Has anyone tried the bifocal contacts? I'm thinking of trying them when I have to get my prescription changed again. These reading glasses are for the birds.

I tried to get contacts years and years ago, but failed in the attempt. :( I had the darn things in my head, was getting all checked out to leave, and was about 30 seconds from getting out of the chair to drive home, when I suddenly started seeing spots before my eyes. I started to tell the doctor what I was seeing, but only got it half out before I took a header out of the chair and onto the floor. I woke up several minutes later after the doctor had pried open my lids and taken the things out. He was young and ran for his senior partner to figure out what happened. Apparently, some people (read: ME) can't wear the buggers 'cause they mess up their chemical balance and make them pass out! So, I've been in glasses ever since, and do indeed think they're sexy, thank you very much!
