I think it's asking a bit much to expect the shelves to have items 2 days after XMas - I hit our Target Sunday afternoon and it was VERY picked over already, and quite messy. The toy dept was practically empty - they were putting storage containers on those shelves to fill them up. Just comes with Christmas. Give it a few weeks for shipments to get in and stocked, then return.
I will say that I don't quite understand the Target versus WalMart debate - to me, they are NOT equal, nor try to be. I enjoy Target more than WalMart, but, there are some things that I just have to get at WalMart. Target does not carry paint supplies, tools, fabric, sewing materials, loads of craft materials, paint, automotive things, lawn and garden items, camping gear, fishing poles, bait and tackle, yarn, etc. They carry ALOT more items than Target.
When I buy for Vacation Bible School supplies, I hit WalMart first - they carry just about everything I need in one place. From golf balls, to fishing line, to paint stirrers, to felt - finding those items at Target would be difficult to begin with, and even if they did carry any of those things, the selection would be small and prices higher.
Also, Target's return policy now just STINKS. Without a receipt, you are up a creek. WalMart stands behind their stuff 100%, and will take back items bought elsewhere if they carry it in their store. I've NEVER had a problem returning anything there, and appreciate that in a company. Bothers me to
no end that Target will not stand behind their items anymore than they do.
So, not even speaking to WalMart's employee practices, I have to offer that in defense of the whole Target/WalMart debate.
JMHO.
