OK......I AM VERY CURIOUS IF ANYONE FOUND OUT THE VALIDITY(SP??) OF THE "RAZOR BLADE" STORY. I KNOW THERE WAS A FEW PEOPLE CRUISING LAST WEEK AND IM CURIOUS, OK....DYING TO KNOW IF ANYONE FOUND OUT FROM A CAST MEMBER THE SCOOP..........PLEASE DONT THINK I AM A GOSSIPER OR STARTING TROUBLE(NO FLAMES PLEASE BUT, ENQUIRING MINDS WANT TO KNOW.....

A FEW WEEKS AGO(I THINK 2 EEKS AGO TODAY) THERE WAS A THREAD ATRARTED BY A RECENT CRUISER WHO SAID HER 5(?) YEAR OLD WAS PLAYNG WITH A RAZOR BLADE AT DINNER AT AP. I GUESS WHEN SHE CALLED THE CASTMEMBERS ATTENTION TO IT, HER SCOLDED HER SON. ANYWAY, IT STARTED A HEATED DISCUSSION BECAUSE A FEW DETAILS WERE, UUUMMMMM-FOGGY... A FEW DISSERS WERE TO BE ON THE SHIP LAST WEEK WERE GOING TO ASK FOR THE STORY ONCE ON BOARD..... LOOK UP THE THREAD, ITS INTERESTING

I communicated with the person and saw the letter but don't still have it. While it mainly confirmed the concern, Disney didn't question the event. While I'm not certain of the overall events, I am confident of the OP sincerity. I said then and I say now, the group was too hard on her.

General Consensus was it was an urban legend.

Poster had never been on the board before, never offered proof, and has never been heard from since.

It sounded fishy, and believe you me, I know a fish story when I see it. My rule for fish stories: if you don't have a picture or a citation, it's just a story.

Same applies here. No proof=no believe.

Like the lady "tramples" at wal-mart last weekj on black friday. Turns out she had filed 16 suits against stores for injuries, including 9 at wal-mart alone. Her "witness" was here sister who had alos previoulsy filed at wal-mart (at which time HER witness was her sister who is now the victim)

It sounds like a big urban legend to me. Disney is always way ahead of the state as far as sanitation goes. There is no way they would allow a foreign object like a razor blade in the kitchen.

Like I said, I don't still have it. But it was a 2 page letter from DVC addressing the concerns. It was fairly generice but DCL in no way questioned the event or defended it or offered any explanation. Obviously others are entitled to their opinions, but in this one thread, I was ashamed of the group. I've seen many posts where the OP posted expecting sympathy or similar and then got blasted. In most of those, it was the event or premise and not the person themselves that got taken to task. In this case, that was not what happened.

The OP on that thread had nothing to gain by the post and I do not feel it was just to stir things up. I believe they were sincere, for what it's worth.

who knows if it was true or not? maybe she just needed attention? I followed that thread closely as many others had and i have to agree with Dean that people here were extremely harsh...certainly not showing any friendly disney spirit. even though she may have been lying about DCL i think that person at least deserved to be put down in a nice way. she's probably afraid to show her face on the DIS boards now.
