I Hate The Ice Cream Man!!!!

He is INSANE!!! Not to mention he drives about 30 miles per hour past our house while playing loud psychotic ice cream man music. I cannot even begin to describe how loud it is...and it is like he times his drive-by when kids are napping. The older kids are in school. HELLO! I feel like giving him some marketing tips. You know like....come around when kids are actually outside playing. If you see in the news that a housewife shoved a bomb pop up a ice cream mans....well, you'll know it was me!

I don't hate him, but he does drive me nuts-o some days. My son was "almost 3 1/2" before he learned what the Ice Cream Man was darn it! Hahahaha!!! And everything looks so goooood! Not good when you're trying to "watch it" if you know what I mean!

I won't go so far as to say I hate the ice cream man, but the music does drive me crazy. What does yours play? Ours plays about one bar of "Maple Leaf Rag" over and over and over...... My 3yo used to ask what it was and we would tell him it was just some silly man in a music truck. He bought it until a couple of weeks ago when all the big kids were out and bought some ice cream. Of course, my DH let him have some. So, now he knows what it is. Fortunately, we haven't been out when it's come by since then. Hopefully, he'll forget all about it.

lol I feel your pain. Our ice cream man doesn't have a song, just a bell he rings but he is notorious for not stopping even when you're out there waving dollar bills in the air. so what is the point? To anger small children and their parents everywhere!!

We have about 8 or 9 ice cream men that come through here every day...we usually just buy from Mr Softee though...we have 2 of those come through...one comes around 5pm and the other comes between 930-11pm....the later guy gets all the business...parents who put their kids to bed all meet out there and buy ice cream and eat it together here LOL...

For ICE CREAM? I would be chasing, lol, I have DONE that with the old one. He would be driving down the road and I would go running after him (when I was a kid of course)!

Ours starts playing the music at 8:30pm.....HELLO kids are usually in bed(mine is) and now you have this LOUD music playing and kids are going insane for that sugar fix.
Why in the world do they have to play the music so loud??????

A year ago, I would have totally agreed with you. This year we didn't have any ice cream man come and I kind of missed it. It felt like something was missing from summer.

It's really surprising since we have a good neighborhood for one. There's about 50 houses and over 100 kids in a contained neighborhood (one way in-one way out). Last year, there were 2 that wound up having a little turf war. I guess both thought they lost!

One neighbor was so upset that we had no ice cream man that she started calling companies and asking them to come through here! Personnally, I don't miss them THAT much!
