I am supposed to be leaving Thanksgiving Morning for Disney, and now they are forcasting a major snowstorm to hit Upstate New York Wednesday afternoon and last through Thursday!!!!!

We just moved to Florida this summer, from Syracuse!!

I would be just fine with never seeing snow again!! Of course, we will be up in January to visit. Anyway, I feel your pain!!

I understand completely! I hate it too...at least until January or February and we get used to having it again. We just had our first measurable snowstorm here...not much but just enough to remind you of what is to come...which is why we escape to WDW for a week or so in January...just makes the winter a little more bearable. Hope your storm system is milder than expected and doesn't cause any interruptions in your travel plans. Good luck!

I am SO with you. We had snow earlier in the week. It's way too early for that to start. A week from tomorrow we'll heading to the airport and it can snow all it wants after my plane is in the air but it had better hold off until then! I hope yours does too.

Don't worry until you see it.

Earlier in the week the "experts" here (Minneapolis) were predicting a very large snowstorm. Predictions went from 3" to 10"!!!!

We ended up with far less than 1". A dusting really.

Weather prediction is difficult, don't worry until you have to.

I HATE SNOW! And I hate ice, and slush, and cleaning off the car (and the frozen car door handles), and I hate not being able to breathe for the bitter wind, and the frozen metal of the gas pumps. And I hate bulky coats in the car and boots. And not being able to get any fresh air in the house.

And the way it takes forever to get anywhere! Can't walk fast (ice), can't drive fast (more ice).

Geez, I hate winter.

We got about a foot out here just east of Cleveland.

Quite literally, shorts one day (chilly, but shorts were seen) and a FOOT OF SNOW the next.

It was so ridiculous that we even made the national news.

I hate snow too. I have always figured I was born in the wrong country. But no matter how much I love Florida, I have to have snow for Christmas!! Nothing prettier than all the christmas lights twinkling in the fresh falling snow.

I also feel the same way, EXCEPT there is no way I need snow for Christmas. I can surely learn to put Christmas lights on my palm trees. But DH can't get a job in Florida, so I'm stuck here.

We live in upstate NY too!! (Syracuse) And we leave on Saturday after Thanksgiving, so I am really hoping they are sooooo wrong about this weather, just get us out of here. I am sick of the snow we already got. Good luck, I will be praying with ya.

We are off to WDW on Tuesday, just in time to miss the next snowfall and see the next Tropical Storm in Florida...Just our luck.

I hear you! EVERY year I ask my DH if we can move to Northern CA. Every year he says no, it is too expensive, we'll fall off into the ocean...yada yada yada. I am really a Californian in my heart. When I'm shoveling snow I keep thinking that.
That Minnesotan had good advice, don't believe it till you see it! Snow storms are predicted all the time and more often than not, they aren't nearly as big as predicted! Don't worry! Enjoy the journey! (but put on your boots! )
