By leaving the game, you get nothing, where if you stay and lose, you still get the credits for how many ghost you caught.

leave = 0
stay = credits

Doesn't matter. I've seen people that will actually say they are leaving the game and then leave. I do give people the benefit of the doubt and think that they must have dc'd. But there are those that can't stand to lose, so they leave. :confused3

But either way, I do prefer 2 on 2 games. :)

well i guess it doesn't matter anymore, by the time i get back on the discount is over. Well at least i have 8k credits to spend on things for MGM
Do we know when the price is going back up?

Also, it could be at times that people are dc, not always just leaving, just a thought. :confused3

If anyone ever plays mansion with me....i never leave it intentionally. I sometimes DC but never leave. I'm too credit greedy. :rotfl:

I've only dc twice in my history of playing Haunted Mansion. Most of the people I see leave are back in the same lobby as me after I quit the game after them. I start another game and they disappear in embaricement.

I play one on one. I don't like to deal with my team mates yelling at me to find the right door or get the opposing team member who just turned into a ghost.

This happens to me alot. I usually like playing with a friend who I know will not quit. Most of the time I will get upwards of 60 ghosts in a game, If we play three rounds, sometimes upwards of 80. The most I have gotten in a game is 100. I don't understand the scoring for the high scores for this game. Is it like, you win 8 games so your score is 8? Please, can someone explain?? :confused3

I've never quit a game, but I do dc a lot for some reason in Pirates/Fireworks/HM games.

Usually when I am on a quest trying to get a good time. :sad2:

Yes, the scores are for the amount of games won. Today, I won 41 games.
AND....when I was in the middle of a game with a Mansion high scorer,
I did disconnect. I think she knows that I wouldn't have quit on her,
but I felt bad, as I was playing alone against her and another player.
Besides, I never leave the game if I don't dc. I want every credit. :)

There are times too, like I had today. Out of 6 games attempted, I was able to only finish 2. I kept getting booted to the lobby after the first round.
I had this happen once with a player who went 1 on 1 with me (she started game). She must have quit the game when I didn't show up for round 2 because she ended up in the same lobby as me.
I went "arg!" and she said "arg? You quit the game. Shame on you."
I had to explain that the game kicked me to the lobby. She tried telling me that I must have hit the exit button.
I then had to further explain that I did not and that it happens sometimes and it's a bug.

I felt so bad because she was probably doing the quest and couldn't finish since it wouldn't count for the quest. :sad2:

I can not even play HM anymore it always sends me back to the lobby after the first round is finished.

I think you have to give people the benefit of the doubt, unless of course they say bye or see ya, then you know they are quitting. This is not limited to HM it happens in Pirates also all the time.

Welcome to the wonderful world of sore losers. Think about it, you're about to lose, you think "OMG what am I gonna do? What am I going to doooooooooo?" Suddenly, you spot the "Quit Game" button. Quitting doesn't count as a loss, right? You swoop in and click the button, and you're off the hook. The game never ended, so no one wins or loses. You od the "I didn't lose" dance and go on with your life.

Unfortunatly, this happens all the time in multiplayer games. I tend to wait until there's at least 3 people per team, that way, the sore loser reflex won't effect gameplay.

I forgot about this thread. Wow, I had quite an experience a few days ago. I was playing a 1 on 1 HM for a quest and the person I was playing against was on the purple (pink) team and they were trying to catch green ghosts for whatever reason. About 30 seconds in, they say "You better go easy on me or I'm quitting." Now, I'm the kind of person where if I see them struggling, I don't mind laying off a little, but when someone TELLS me to go easy on them, I try twice as hard. So anyway, after another 10 seconds of futily trying to catch green ghosts, they say "I quit! Bye!" I just said "Bye" and kept catching ghosts for credits. I can't believe they only played for like 40 seconds.

When I see someone in the game obviously trying to catch the wrong ghosts, I tell them to stay away from them and which ghosts they need to catch. :)

I try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt and think that they may have not played before and not read the instructions before entering the game. Although, I find that truly annoying. Why enter a game when you haven't even read the instructions? :confused3
