I hate Hurricane Frances!!!!!!!!

Sorry but i need to get this all out!!!!!



i am soooooooo mad!!!!!!!!!!! we arrived at Disney on Sunday (8/29) and we were supposed to leave yesterday but because of stupid hurricane frances we had to leave on THRUSDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and to top it all off i don't think disney is getting hit until today so we could have stayed!!! the only thing is if we stayed we wouldn't have gotten a train home until Tuesday which isn't a problem becasue your in DIsney and we would miss 2 days of school!!!!!!!!!!! but here i am at home because we had to drive all the way to NY which i will NEVER do again lol! what a long trip and we were only in Disney for really 4 days!!!!! i'm so happy we're going back in 80 days!!

OK i feel better now!
I hope everyone who is there now is safe and i would love to hear if Disney got hit by the hurricane and what damage it caused! be safe!

You drove to New York? Wow thats impressive, how long did it take by car?

We drove once when I was little to Disney world from NY, but we stopped along the way to go to like Jamestown, Buschgardens, Williamsburg and tons of other things so it took a while. Its only like $100 round trip though air fare though so it doesnt make too much sense.

we left on Thrusday around 12 in the afternoon and we didn't get home until Saturday around 6pm......of course we stopped both nights to sleep and to have lunch but still it was a very very long trip lol

I'm soo sorry for you!! I was mad to when i went to Disney in Feb. It rained the entire time. all the rides were closed and it was my 1st time to dinsey!! But i'm use to hurricanes cause i live on the gulf of mexico! Soo they really dont bother me anymore the only thing i hate is the power goes out for days!!

My family left thursday as well. Drove to NJ overnight, no real stops. Loved getting to see hundreds of cars at EVERY rest stop between Disney and all the way up into South Carolina. Took four hours to get out of Florida alone because of the stand-still traffic. I wish we had stayed, it was quite intersting to see things straped down in the parks and being able to do rides with no waits on Thursday morning.

actually it usually takes 4 hours to get out of florida whether there was traffic or not. Disney was closed all day Friday and all day saturday--so there really wouldn't be that much to do other than stay in your hotel being as there was also a curfew from 6pm to 9am--I've driven to New York from Florida often because my mother and I both have a fear of flying and my entire family, even my sister, with the exception of myself and my parents, live in New York. For me its not that bad, but I love to drive so thats probably why.

epcot and mk open today but ak and mgm are still closed. I'm holding up at a hotel by sea world and it has been really boring and a lot less action then we had during Charley--

I have driven from New Hersey to Orlando 4 times (took about 2 days, with one night in a hotel and stops for lunch and dinner). I have also driven from NJ to Port Canaveral without stopping overnight. Long drives don't bother me because I'm used to them.

TinkerBellPixie4GOAL, has Hurricane Frances caused a lot of damage in the Olrando area? I hope everyone is ok. And did I hear that there may be another hurricane headed towards Florida?

disneyangel- Luckily not too much damage in Orlando. Just a few trees down...nothing too serious....we're praying that Ivan (the terrible) doesn't hit us this coming week....but we're not sure...

OMG THAT SUCKS!!! I got there on the saturday (08/28) And we had a GREAT WEEK! And we stayed through the hurricane and it was actaully OK...we were supposed to leave sunday morning but we left on tuesday instead....and they gave us the 2 extra nights for FREE (at POP) And to keep the kids entertained on Saturday they had Mickey.Minnie, Tigger & Pluto come, they had games and such and they put movies on the disney chanells (Nemo,Monsters Inc,Brother Bear,Ella Enchanted,Tower of Terror and a couple more) They still had the movies on Sunday but they had to cloes EVERYTHING POP (and the cafeteria...so we had to stock up on food on saturday) But it REALLY was not bad at all....you could have stayed! It was just rain and a BIT of high winds....and tehre was ducks in the pool it was hilarious ...I stayed in the 50's building on the ground floor facing the pool and it was seriously NOTHING...we get worse stuff at home!

I went to EPCOT & MK on friday?....they were both open...but i think they were closing early. The parks were all close Sat & Sun though.

omg i can't beleive it didn't do anything!!!! We should've stayed the extra 2 nights...now when my dad hears that they gave it to ppl for free he'll be pissed lol!!! o well look at me countdown....it's getting close!!!!!!!!!!
