I hate Cell Phones!! (vent)

I am getting tired of people calling on their Cell Phones and it always lets get one sentence out. Then it .eems ..o reak up .en ou... re....... rying t u...rstand..................
Then they call back and it happens again!

My service is great almost everywhere....except in my own house!!!!

I have come very close to throwing my phone against the wall many times...It's absolutely awful

Our house is horrible also. It's like one big dead zone! The neighbors probably think I'm nuts when I'm walking around the front yard talking on the phone!

My cell is good most places, except if driving through wealthier neighborhoods where the residents are able to keep down the number of cell towers with their 'clout'.

What I don't understand is my phone works great in Wal-Mart, but can't get a signal in K-Mart or Winn Dixie. Now, What's up with That?!

when people call me on my house phone from cell phones, if they are breaking up and just screaming 'HELLO?' I just hang up on them.

My cell phone is another one that doesn't work in my house...it not only doesn't work - it shuts itself off! It searches for a signal for a while, then just wears the battery out.

My DD's doesn't work in our basement. How do I know this? Because she's afraid to go into the basement by herself so if she absolutely has to go down there while I'm at work (to get one of her 700 outfits hanging down there to dry)--she'll call me at the office so I can "go downstairs" with her. Then the phone cuts out halfway down and will frantically call me back yelling, "Mom! Mom! Why did you hang up on me?" I didnt' REALLY hang up--I just kinda wanted to--deep down inside.

Having kids is so interesting sometimes.

We get terrible service up here! This past weekend the girls and I were having a camp out with some friends. DH was to join us later but couldn't find the spot. He tried calling me - no service. He ended up turning around and going back home.

I got a new Samsung 427 folding phone when I went back to Cingular after having Verizon & Nokia for a year. Loved it but it did not work in the house. Strange, because my older Nokia did work in the house with Verizon and previously with Cingular. I got a new Nokia and it worked great in the house. I returned that stinkin' Samsung.
Just a thought- The reason cell doesn't work in the house- might be your phone and not your cell service provider.

That's the biggest problem with digital phones. When an analog signal gets weak, it just gets noisy. When a digital signal is too weak, it breaks up. I guess that's the price of progress.

Digital Phones with a bad signal make them sound like they are underwater also.

I do the same thing. DH called me last night on his way home on a strech of road he KNOWS his phone doesn't work well on.

I just kept hanging up everytime he started going Hello? Hello?

Thats why I love my nextel. I've had it over a year and something like that only happens once a month or so.

We have almost no cell coverage in our ENTIRE TOWN with our provider (AT&T), but I know others who use their phones in town with little trouble. But we are a VERY rural area, so I suppose it should be no surprise.....................P
