I think CAA is great for some stuff but there TAs seem so useless! I phoned Friday for a quote on a DL package for January. All ready got quote from WDTC and wanted to compare. Told the TA EXACTLY what I wanted: the dates, specific hotel, character breakfast, 4 days in park, etc. Phones me back with: individual pricing for hotels and says there are no prices yet for passes for 2005.

Okay could have got the hotel prices myself (and for cheaper) on Expedia. I find CAA (and most TAs kind of useless). They never listen to want you are asking for!!

Friends of mine in Niagara (Ontario - where i'm originally from) had a similar problem with CAA.

I ended up booking their trip for them through CRO.

Does anyone know....if you book a Disney package thru CAA is it in US or Cdn $$.

I believe all the prices they quote are in CDN. Check to be sure though.

That depends on with whom they book with!

If it's a Cdn Wholesaler, then Cdn!

If it's thru CRO, it's US!

I am still waiting for the TA I dealt with at CAA to inform me that the Magic is sailing on the West Coast!LOL Thank Goodness for these boards!

You have to ask for a Disney Expert but I know there aren't any at my CAA!

Thanks Scratch! That makes sense now. Funny how the passes are in Canadian dollars at the DS and in US prices at CAA.

The vendors we deal with that supply passes etc don't have their 2005 pricing yet, so CAA is in fact correct. We don't know what they're going to do with pricing, and really the best they can do is tell you what the current price is. Same with the character breakfasts etc.

Usually for DL the Canadian pricing is better than the US pricing, as they've offered a specially priced 5 day pass for a number of years.

The vendors are just doing their launches for the fall/winter items now. I just got home from the Sunquest/Holiday Network launch, the FunSun launch isn't until September.

I'm actually surprised you managed to get a quote from CAA without more hassle than that. Before I became a TA I tried planning DL trips with them. The first time it took literally half an hour to get the TA to understand that I wanted DL in California, not WDW in Florida (she still didn't understand why anyone would want to go there). The second time I knew exactly what I wanted and the dates, and faxed the office asking for pricing. I received a fax response saying they would only give me a quote if I gave them $150 planning fee. I said thanks, but no thanks, and went somewhere else.

FYI the vendors usually have the next year's info in the systems some time in October.
