I HATE BEING SICK!!!!! (Little Whine)

Can't you tell?

I've had this doozy of a virus since about Christmas Day... started with fever, body aches, and chills. Then went into my throat...and started coughing. Then I started to sound like a cross between James Earl Jones and Bonnie Tyler...

I'm on two perscriptions and I am always tired. Just yesterday, I started to feel lousy during dinner, and I laid down.. ...
4 HOURS LATER, I woke up and went to bed again.

Sometimes I can't sleep either... so I'm up all sorts of hours only to sleep again.

I'm grateful I'm off until Monday... (perks of working for a school system), but Its a real bummer spending the entire vacation on the couch SICK!

Go ahead whine and I will whine with you. Been sick my entire break as well. Everytime I think I feel better I end up feeling lousy again. And back to work on Monday.

Me too. The kids had it before Christmas and I got it the day after. Today is day 7 and I am so tired of laying around! Everytime I get up to do something I start the coughing and start feeling worse again. My house is just a wreck, and I have no energy to do anything about it! Yep, I think I have the same thing....I start to feel better one day, then feel a whole lot worse the next. I've been sick for almost 6 weeks now, with maybe a few days break in between colds. The first two colds I had were relatively minor, but this one, ugh....same thing, started with fever, chills, runny nose....now it is major congestion and a bad cough. I've had it since the day before Christmas. I hope I'm better before I have to return to work on Monday.

Yikes I hope you all feel better soon. My dd has been sick off and on since thanksgiving, she finished taking her last antibiotic last sunday , today she wakes up crying that her ear hurt and she has gunk coming out of it. I took her to the doctor, she has got a nasty ear infection with pus. She was on antibiotics for THAT ear and she finished it sunday. Obviously the meds did not help that much , now she's on zythromax , before that she was taking Cefcil. This is the third time she gets sick since thanksgiving, and she's miserable. The doctor said if I didn't take her in today , she would have a fever and sore throat by tomorrow and that he has not seen an ear infection like this in a long time.
I'm not taking her to a pediatrician anymore, now she goes to my doctor.

Could be worse... My mom just called from Disneyland (they spent NYE there) she is really sick and has the 6.5 hour drive ahead of her. So no couch for her!! If it were me I think I would have to fly home. And being at DL doesn't make up for being sick. Been there done that. You just wish you could enjoy it like you are supposed to.

Being sick sucks - and it is OK to whine!! Get better soon.

Oh your poor Mom. I can't imagine driving 6 hours. Even being at Disney would not be fun feeling so bad. I hope she will get another trip soon when she can enjoy it more.
