Well here I am planning another trip to WDW

Im getting very excited because its now June and I can officially say "we're going to Disneyworld the month after next" Its funny how you measure it.. such as month after next, next month, etc..

Let me introduce myself.. I have long been a member of the DIS and a huge disney freak! I am, well hmmmm let me see if I can say this right, 38 years old .. Have a wonderful husband whom I married 1 year ago on Valentines Day (I know.. its kinda cheesy), mom to 3 kids.. DD16, almost 17, DS14 almost 15 and DD10 going on 11.. I am a stepmom to 2.. DSD20 and DSS17 almost 18.. I am a grandmom to 2.. DGD1.5 and DGD5 days old! Yep.. she was just born last Friday.. and she is a cutie patootie

Following is who is going on this adventure..

Me and DH (Snow White and Prince Charming aka Betty and Bruce)

DD16 (Grumpy aka Aimee)

DS14 (Dopey aka Justin)

DD10 (Doc aka Jamie) This was the only name that she would agree to

DSD20 (Sneezy aka Tasha) Keep in mind this picture is very old..

DSD's boyfriend (Happy aka Josh)

DGD1.5 (Bashful aka Jayla) she will be 2 by August

and last but not least DGD5 days old! (Sleepy aka Bailey)

My plan is to have some tshirts made with each of our characters on the front, except the baby will have a onesie.. then on the back Im having the name put on the back of the shirt..

The kids think its nerdy, but I dont care! I think its cute..

I also have already gone and bought some tie dye kits and will be making some matching shirts for our clan.. I think maybe just the first shirt mentioned and then a tie dye shirt and thats it.. I do plan on making various tshirts and onesies for the 2 grandbabies though.. I just dont want to overkill on everyone else..

Once I start making the shirts I'll post pictures to show my progress!

Now that you know all of us.. let me give you some details of our trip..

We are staying in 2 rooms at AllStar Sports (DD10 choice).. we are getting preferred room... We have found that its worth that little extra bit to be closer.. We are going during FREE dining, so Im psyched about that!! We also added the Waterpark option so we're excited about this too since we've never been to the waterparks or Disneyquest before..

We arrive on Friday, August 29 and we leave on Thursday, September 4th.. The only downfall that I can find is that our flight on the 29th is at 6:05 am so morning will come early! But its going to be a great time as this is Josh's and Bailey's first time to Disney.. I know Bailey wont enjoy anything as she will just be around 3 months at the time, but it will be the trip of a lifetime for Josh..

I just wanted to introduce our clan and will be back with more details of our plans..

Now that I've introduced our gang.. I can get down to the plans..

We arrive on Friday, August 29th.. again our flight is at 6:05am so we should land around 10:30 am if I remember correctly.. Since we are doing Magical Express we wont have to worry about our bags, thank goodness! We will have all the bags in the car the night before..

Im hoping by 11:00 we will have checked in at the ME desk and by 11:30 we should be well on our way to WDW Again, fingers are crossed that we will be at the hotel around 12:00 and maybe our room will be ready.. In past Ive never had the room ready that early, except me and DH recently went to WDW and stayed at AllStar Music and arrived around noon and our room was ready.. Im really hoping it is this time too..

If the room is ready we will get our carryon bags there, grab our beach towels and head to Blizzard Beach.. Heres the itinerary for day 1:

4:30 am- leave for the airport
6:05 am- flight leaves
10:30 am- arrive in Orlando
11:00 am- be checked in for ME
11:30 am- hopefully be on way to hotel
12:00 pm- hoping to be checked in
12:30 pm- go to Blizzard Beach
6:00 pm- BB closes- go back to hotel to change
7:00 pm- Go to Hollywood Studios- ride Tower of Terror and Rock N Roller Coaster
9:00 pm- Head to Disneyquest for just a little while..

When me and DH were at ASMU last month there was a pizza flyer from Italian Express at the hotel and they deliver so I plan on bringing that flyer with me and when we are leaving BB I will call and order the pizza so while we are getting ready for HS we can get our pizza and eat dinner and it'll be cheaper than ordering the pizza from the hotel and hopefully better

The kids are super excited that we are getting the WaterPark option on our tickets this time as we havent done that before and they have been wanting to visit the water parks and Disneyquest.. We have extras on our tickets, so I have a challenge to use them up I figure on the first night that me and DH will go and play a few games and then we'll take the grandbabies back to the hotel so everyone else can enjoy themselves.. but thats not set in stone yet..

Today is Friday.. and one day closer to our trip..

I know, I know.. we still have 82 days to go, but who's counting right??

Things have been so hectic lately and so many things run thru my mind so I've been trying to write things down as I think of them and hoping to go back thru them..

My nephew graduated last night.. so its been an exciting week for our family.. He struggled his last year to make up his credits that he was behind so it was a great time last night.. I even met up with my old best friend from elementary school! We were like 2 peas in a pod growing up and as we got older we broke apart a little in high school but still kept in contact and then after high school just lost touch.. well its been 20 years this year since I've graduated so I havent seen her since.. We exchanged phone#'s and email addresses.. so we'll have to keep in contact now..

My DH comes home tomorrow from Florida.. I havent seen him since almost 2 weeks ago when we split up at the airport after DisneyWorld.. He and I went for a short 3 day trip and I flew home on Memorial Day and he stayed behind to spend some time with his mom and grandmom to help them get some things done around their house.. His granddad passed away a few years ago and they depend on DH to help from time to time.. which he eats up.. He enjoys spending time there and helping and he also gets a few days at the beach.. I think its a nice trade off! He gets waaaaaay more time off work than me, so he usually goes each year by himself..

Im excited to see him! Im going in the morning to get him a new grill for Fathers Day and I want it here for him when he gets home so I can surprise him..

Sorry for all the chit chat.. again just so many things running thru my mind..

To get back on track about our trip..

I have laid out my plans for the trip but I know these plans are subject to change due to the grandbabies going.. Im used to either me and DH going or me and my kids which the youngest is 10 so we typically stay late.. Im sure that is going to change this trip, but we'll see....

onto Day 2:

Today we will be in Epcot.. Park opens at 9 am

7:00 am- Start waking everyone up to get ready for the day
8:00 am- Breakfast at Akershus at 8:55 am DGD loved the Princesses on the last trip as they are face characters so I think she will freak! DH just loves eating breakfast so this was a win-win situation This is a restaurant we havent been to before.. I thought about lunch or dinner but then wasnt sure if the kids would like the food served here, so I thought breakfast was a safe bet!

No real plans throughout the day.. I figure we will head over to Future World for the first part of the day.. We'll of course be taking turns watching over the little ones while everyone else goes to the bigger rides they cant ride.. I already volunteered to watch them while everyone else goes on Mission Space.. Im such a chicken of this ride.. The last 2 times I've rode it I have gotten nauseated so I prefer to skip it now..

The current plan is to leave the park around 1:30-2:00 and head back to the hotel to swim and nap.. we do have an evening ADR for Garden Grill at 5:00 so not yet sure how this will work out..

Again dinner is at 5:00... This is our 3rd time to eat here and this is one of our favorites..

After dinner we will head to World Showcase.. I would like to ride the ride in Norway and Mexico and that may be all we ride here so we can walk thru..

A few things we MUST do is get a Khaki Gori, get a School Bread and buy some candy in the Japan Pavilion which is a tradition for us..

Plan to find a place to sit in WS and watch Illuminations..

Would love to go to DisneyQuest afterwards, but I dont think that is going to happen.. I think we will beat at the end of the day..

Day 3 is in Magic Kingdom!!

Just a sidebar from my PTR..

DH came home from Florida.. finally.. I havent seen him since the day we departed at Orlando airport almost 2 weeks ago..

He and I went for a short weekend trip to WDW.. I had to come home and he stayed behind and spent some time with his mom and grandmom...

On the way home from the airport we stopped at DSD's so he could see his granddaughter for the first time.. Unfortunately he wasnt here when the baby was born.. but he made up for it..

and here is DGD1.5 on Saturday...

Then on Sunday DSD and the grandbabies came over our house to spend the evening and of course I couldnt help but snap some pictures..

Im soooo looking forward to our upcoming trips with these little buggers..

A definite tragedy happened yesterday..

My sister in law's (brothers wife) nephew was killed yesterday He was found dead at a local Target with a gunshot to the chest.. when the police got there he was already dead.. He was only 18.. so so young.. DSIL is devastated to say the least.. I feel so bad for her family... I went to school with his mom (DSIL's sister).. The police still dont know who did it but are looking at the security camera tapes and looking for leads..

Im still so stunned over this.. just dont know how it could have happened..

Another day down! and edging closer to the weekend.. woohoo..

DH got his new grill for Fathers Day/Birthday present and he absolutely loved it.. I love the cooking that he's been doing on it lately.. so I guess we're even..

Things have been so crazy lately but I did finally sit down to the computer and ordered our new luggage for our trip a few days ago, so I cant wait for that to come.. I even made a special trip to Wally World for some lime green yarn so that I can make some tassels to attach to the handles.. I also got so lime green paint samples and used my mickey mouse head paper cutter and made some mickey heads and punched holes in those so I can attach them also.. I got some creative ideas and bought some decorations for our hotel windows and will hopefully be able to get started on those this or next weekend, if time permits.. I also bought a tie dye kit so that I can do some experimenting

My sister inlaws nephew that I mentioned in last post who was killed has his funeral set for Saturday so I'll be attending that to show my respects and to support my DSIL.. I feel so sorry for her and her family.. I talked to her a few days ago and they are all so distraught.. They are in my prayers..

In the midst of our upcoming Disney trip, me and DH, DS14 and DSS1 and my dad are headed to NYC for the 4th of July weekend.. We leave July 2nd and come home on the 6th.. We are so so excited for this!! I was born in CT and moved to TX when I was about 6 and this is my first trip back that way since then.. well over 32 years!!

We are planning on doing all the touristy things of course and have tickets already for a Yankee vs Red Sox game.. woo hoo.. My aunt and uncle still live in CT so we are renting a car on the 5th and heading out to their home for the day to spend time with them.. We plan on watching fireworks in NYC.. that will be so wonderful!! My DS14 is a HUGE Yankees fan so this is a trip of a lifetime for him..

I think I have just about everything done and planned on that trip so that I can devote the rest of my time towards Disney

Onto Day 3:

day 3 will be spent in Magic Kingdom.. Absolutely one of my favorite parks.. I still remember the first time I went to WDW.. I remember when I started doing my research prior to my first visit in 2000.. I thought WDW only had one park and that was Magic Kingdom .. I never dreamed there were 3 more parks.. I guess because the castle is so widely known and thats what everyone talks about..

I dont have many plans for this day and plan to play it by ear other than the PS reservation we have for dinner..

I know the park opens at 9 am and closes at 12 am but then stays open 3 extra hours for EMH YES!!! so the park is open til 3 am!! Can we make it??? I dont know, but I have a feeling we may die trying.. I doubt we will stay that long but it'll be interesting to find out..

Dinner is set for :30 pm.. There is a Spectro at 9 and 11 pm I believe.. I only wrote down 11 in my book so Im thinking thats the one Im planning on us seeing .. Wishes is at 10 pm.. so thats a must..

I figure we will get to the park at opening and then stay til around 1 pm and then head back to the hotel for a swim and nap and maybe even DQ for a bit and then head back to MK right before our dinner time..

Day 4 is Hollywood Studios.. again another one of my favorite parks.. Ok Ok.. every park is one of my favorites I admit it!

With all that life is throwing at me I am determined to not forget about this Disney trip..

I was listening to an old podcast last week where Corey and Julie were talking about the Segway Tour in Epcot.. Me and DH decided that we would like to start doing different tours each trip just to get some new experiences..

I decided to throw myself out there and called and booked this tour for me and DH.. He doesnt know about it, so this will be my surprise for him.. He will be thrilled to say the least!!

My new luggage came in and I have already made one tassle and mickey head tag.. I still have so many to do, but this is a start..

Went to the funeral this past Saturday.. what a sad sad day.. I sure hope they find the person that did this.. I feel so sad for his entire family..

Well.. only 2 weeks and 1 day til we leave for our 4th of July trip to New York City.. We're so so excited!!!

Will update tomorrow with our next days plans for our WDW trip..

I'm very excited! I just took the kids in March and in May came into a little $$$ on a slot machine so I booked a solo trip! I'm leaving the 3 kids and the DH at home and hitting the World by myself! I'm a little nervous but so excited, I've wanted to do this forever!

another rough day today

My mom called me last night to let me know that she and my dad were back from a short trip to a casino in Oklahoma.. She was talking weird and I asked her if she was ok.. she said that her right side of her mouth was feeling weird.. she couldnt talk out of that side and her vision was bothering her all day.. she said that she hadnt been feeling well the last few days but it really started yesterday and she didnt know what was going on..

My first thought was that she was having a stroke.. I urged her to go to the drs today and get it checked out.. she laughed it off and I kept insisting that she get it looked at.. when we hung up she promised she would call her dr today..

Well I got home from work around 3 and called her to check up on her and my dad answered her cell phone.. he said that she called her dr this morning and he told her to go to the er and he hadnt heard from her since.. he was getting worried about her.. its about a 40-50 minute drive with no traffic so I knew if I went that way I would get stuck in rush hour traffic so I called my sister who lives about 5 minutes from my parents and asked her to go to the er and check on my mom, as my dad doesnt drive.. My dad is 78 and not in great health.. he said that he wasnt feeling well today so he didnt go with her, but said he should have gone.. I told him that if he wasnt feeling well it was probably best for him to stay home.. I got ahold of my sister and she headed to the er.. apparently when she got there my mom had been released about 10 minutes earlier and she just missed her.. Come to find out my mom went to the pharmacy to pick up a prescription that was written..

Her diagnosis was Bells Palsy..

I read up all about it tonight and I think perhaps her diabetes could have been a contributing factor.. My sister said that she doesnt look good.. the right side of her face is basically paralyzed.. I talked to my mom afterwards and she said that it is worse today than it was last night and that she is having problems eating and drinking because she has no control over her right side..

She has taken some time off of work to rest.. I am praying that she will be ok.. everything Ive read about it seems like she will be ok, but I worry so much for my parents..

Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers..

On to Day 4!!

Hollywood Studios.. Again one of my favorite parks.. I think I say that about every park

This is one of mine and DH's favorites though.. Our favorite rides here are Tower of Terror, Rock n Roller Coaster and the NEW Toy Story Mania!!

When me and DH were at HS last month we waited 1 1/2 hours in line for Toy Story Mania! But it was worth it.. Im excited for the kids to ride this one..

Me, DH, DD10 and DGD1.5 went to WDW in January/February and we took the park at a slower pace than normal.. we came across several Streetmospher characters and really enjoyed that.. DD10 actually asked me last week if we can look for them again on our next trip as she thought they were so funny.. So I definitely want to keep an eye out this trip for them..

Again our plans for this day are a little relaxed..

The park does open at 9 am so I would like to be there around 8:45 if possible.. I do know as soon as we arrive at the park we will head straight for the Toy Story Mania ride.. we will get fastpasses then head to the standby line and get in line to ride it.. Hoping that by the time we ride it, it will be time for our fastpass so we can ride it again!

Afterwards we will head for TOT and RnR coaster immediately after and then we'll play it by ear.. I figured we would just stop wherever for lunch as we will be doing counter service for lunch.. I figure we'll leave the park somewhere around 2-2:30.. Me and DH will take the grandbabies and head back to the hotel and take them swimming and then naptime.. while the rest of the gang heads to Disneyquest..

Hoping to head back to the park aroun 6 as we have an ADR at Primetime 50's at 7:50 pm.. This table service meal is actually one of our favorites in Hollywood Studios.. Its always so much fun!.. When we were there in January we went there and our "cousin" put a bib on DH and DD10.. she couldnt stop laughing and giggling..

After dinner, maybe we'll catch another ride or 2 then head to Fantasmic at 10 pm.. Not sure how long we'll last in the park, as this park is doing an EMH night this night and will be open til 1 am.. Not sure how late we'll make it before we have to crash, so we'll just play it by ear..

Next-- Day 5

Day 5 will down in the history books for us!!! This will be a non theme park day!! The horror!!

In all my trips I have never not gone to one of the 4 main parks..

I hope I survive..

Bettyann29...I am sorry about your mother. The same thing happend to my mother a couple of years ago. She woke up and half her face was paralyzed. I felt so bad for her and she was very self conscious of it. I believe that the antibiotics should help your mom's recovery. It is good that she went to the Dr. and didn't wait.

I hope she is feeing better soon!!!

Reading you PTR gets me all tired out!!!!! I love that my DD6.5 is getting old (and tall) enough to want to do more things.

Did I read Day 5 correctly?!?!?!? NON PARK DAY!!!!! Is it possible????
