I hadn't seen this comparison site before

Thanks for the link. Good idea for a site, but from the handful of cameras I picked to compare, the tester was not even able to get the exposures the same on any two. Some were severely over or under exposed. How can you compare shots when the tester does not even know how to get a consistent exposure?

has been my comparison site of choice... they seem to attempt to be more consistent that the site you've mentioned... I went there and when I finally found two cameras they had pictures for they showed me one picture with a white background and the comparison from the other camera was the same random toys and such but snapped against a very dark background... While I could get an overall idea of how well a camera was working I can't compare two pictures when one has 70% of the background white as snow and the other is 70% forest green...Its a nice attempt by someone.. unfortunately they seem to have focused more on an easy user interface than they did on useful data to go with it.

Yes, I've used IR for years, and I know this one is not necessarily totally accurate. Just thought it another interesting tool to use.
