I Had Pool Guests today!

Just make sure there is shock added to the pool when your duckie friends leave.

Think about where else those ducks have been. They swim around dirty lake or pond water and then bring some of that mess to your pool where your kids swim later and possibly get sick.

I let the dog out when I see a duck even in the yard before they ever get the chance to reach the pool.

I have had a turtle, a snake, frogs, and two dead rats in my pool, but never ducks.

Hey now!!! I live by a dirty lake and we swim in it all the time and never get sick! ;) It's not where they've been swimming it's what bodily fluid they leave behind that makes you sick.

Those SOB's must have flown up from MA because they were in my pool this morning:lmao:

Hmmm they were in my landscaping pond yesterday in Indiana! But I named them Daisy and Donald.

Thanks for posting this Dawn. I read this yesterday, and it put a well-needed smile on my face just now when only rereading the thread title.

It's the little things in life that sometimes mean the most... :)

My next goal will be to get photos of Chip and Dale! I have a lot of them living in the stone wall in the pool area. They are so cute!!! I plant tomatoes in my pool area in the flower garden and DH hates it when they leave half eaten tomatoes. They are so little I don't know how he can expect them to eat the whole thing! :goodvibes

AAAAWWWWW - So cute. I hope they only stay for a short visit.

My parents have 2 ducks - this is the 2nd year they have come back. My mom named them Drake & Daisy. They swim in the neighbors inground pool.

I wish we had ducks. We have frogs - some kind of tree frogs that have been living in our pool. We took 9 out then another 5 out and took them down to the stream by our house and now we have another one that has been hanging out in it. We also have squirells that have fell into our pool - we took 3 out so far this year. We had to drain most of the water out due to the cover collapsing due to weight of ice & snow back in December. Hopefully with in the next 2 weeks, the kids can start to use it. We need to figure out what to do with the frogs though. They keep coming back. The chemicals are not fazing them at all.

Do they have five legs?... :rolleyes1

agnes!
PS - Maybe they have a chemical dependency...

DH rescued a baby snapping turtle yesterday. I wanted to keep him in the pool area but he put him down by the brook.

Totally off topic kc10family your kids can seriously sing! Great little entertainers! WOW!

They are talented, adorable and what showmanship! WOW is right! :thumbsup2

We also have these nastly little SOB's in our pool. Don't get me wrong, they are adorable and all, but they crap everywhere and they are so dirty!. I have vaccummed my pool more in the past week then I have the entire last season! They crap all over my hot tub ledge then crap in the actual pool and it drops to the bottom and stains my concrete. I have tried everything to get rid of them and nothing has worked. I am now looking at pellet guns or asking the local Chinese rest. if they are interested. ;)

1. This is very rude, I know, but it is internet, so I'm saying it and you don't have to respond to the rudeness...in a way, that makes it less rude (in my head, anyway.)

I am so wildly jealous. I want a pool so badly. You just don't know. I'm greener than the Hulk.

2. That's a cute pic. :) I don't mind ducks in the pool. There are always ducks in the Disney pools early in the morning and we manage to share. :)
