Were flying dow in march and going down united(coming back dont know right now.). it will be me and my DS,we usually have two bags(we might just do one each) each, my self one bag and golf bag:cool1:. most like ly it will be the same,my question is what would be the best option have all of our bags with us on the plane and pay the luggage fee or ship via upS or dHL,or fed x on half and bring the rest?. Also we carry on a back pack for each of us so we will be carry on a change of clothing so we are not waiting for our luggage. Any good advice
 
Honestly. it depends on how big/heavy the other bag is. you could:

a) Check your biggest/heaviest bag and ship the smaller
b) Baggage fees are only $10-$20 and if the bag is too large/heavy, it would be wiser to pay the baggage fee than pay extensive shipping fees and insurance.

At least if you check the bag, it's covered and you don't have to buy extra insurance. Plus worry about shipping it back? UPS doesn't deliver on weekends. USPS doesn't have garaunteed delivery times unless you ship over night which is very expensive.

I think "shipping" things to the resort is more appropriate for people who have too much luggage to check, or have items like coolers and cases of bottled water that you really can't check.

Just my opinion. Some things to think about. Can you not rent golf clubs while you're there?
