They certainly are famous. Every channel has been doing life history's on these sick individuals.

Unfortunately, the public eats this stuff up. I'm watching Denise Austin. (Maybe it'll work by osmosis:teeth: :teeth: )

I have been so fed up with the way stories are covered these days. I usually get my news from the local radio station, because they don't dwell on each thing so much. I think the media coverage of most stories is way out of hand!

In a twisted way it is almost like the News Media is upset that they caught. Now all they are left with is digging into the past of a couple of sick people.

Do you think that it is time to start covering some other news, like the upcoming election next week?

I was just telling my DH........."I wonder when the media creeps will make a movie of the week about these events"?!!!! No wonder we have sickos coming out of the woodwork!!:(

Our local news keeps dwelling on their "Baton Rouge connection". Apparently the snipers have family down her and visited not too long ago. Who cares!

Truer words were never spoken....

Who cares what their life histories are? They're cold blooded killers now, and that's all that matters. I turn the channel whenever I see anything on TV about these two wackos.

Sometimes I feel like the smartest guy in the world. I haven't read any of this sniper stuff. I get two papers a day and I just skip over those articles. I've quit watching 24 hour news channels. I just watch the night news with Tom Brokaw and I'm done for the day.

I get all of my news either from the newspapers (Boston Globe, New York Times, Wall Street Journal) or the Internet. I gave up on TV a loooooooooooooong time ago ;) ;) ;) ........

I agree with EROS (that kind of worries me). I get my news from the paper and the internet. When I watch the news I like the facts only. I don't want opinion, commentary or speculation.

LOL, Lanshark;) . Be careful, you may be judged by the company which you keep:rolleyes: . Nevertheless, you're going on my list of DISers "FOR WHOM THERE STILL IS HOPE:jester: "

I hear you CRB#33. . . the news channels claim they are just giving the public what it wants, meanwhile their overall ratings keep sliding down and down. . .

Oh, don't waste your time watching that Denise Austin! A couple years ago I got several of her tapes, sat on the couch, drank beer, watched hour after hour. . and never lost an ounce!!

;)

:teeth:

LOL, Willy!

Unfortunately I am a member of the esteemed media and know very well what tragedy and disasters can do for ratings. The television and radio news are first and foremost ENTERTAINMENT and a product to sell time. If we stop watching or listening they lose.

The snipers was the most recent chance to capitalize on a nightmare and the media had a field day with it. They cannot and will not let it drop, and unfortunately, the people on this thread are not the typical viewers... who DO want to know more.
