I actually snickered when someone said that they were going to start early in order to build up their tolerance to booze in preparation for DATW next week. next week next week next week next week next week:banana: :woohoo: :dance3:

I found that hilarious and thought that i'd be fine since I really didn't plan to drink all that much. I was just gonna hang out with my new BFF's and have a good time.

I was sooooooooooooo wrong...

DH and I hit a favorite restaurant for dinner tonight. I had a rough day at work and just wanted to unwind a bit. So we went to an Irish restaurant and I decided to try a Lady Cider. The Lady Cider was some kind of alcoholic cider with a shot of chambord. I don't really like beer, and while this had a slight beer flavor to it, it was sweet and yummy. Just right.

I underestimated the power of this drink. I had 3/4 of it and it knocked me out! :rotfl: I was asleep on the couch for 2 hours this evening...

In my defense, it's been awhile since i've actually had booze. And i've been sick.

So I guess I need to build up my tolerance after all otherwise I might be snoozin' around the world showcase! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Right there with ya. I got pregnant almost 1 year ago (so no alcohol) and had 3 LARGE glasses of wine last weekend. I got two words for you..... WOO HOO!

Awww...will we be on baby watch again in 9 months? ;) :lmao:

Oh, I love Chambord. I used to drink a drink called a sweet tart - it was chambord, sour mix, and something else. I can't remember what all was in it, just that it was gooood.

I may need to do some tolerance building myself this weekend. My sister has the boys for 2 nights. :cool1: :cool1:
